Jim 'n Nicks drive thru for their smoked ham sandwich on multi grain bread!

Very satisfying.

I don't know which is my main meal. Breakfast was pancakes, lunch was meatloaf, broccoli and pork and beans. For supper it is chili soup. Have the peach and pineapple dump cake also.

Pork chops, sweet potatoes and steamed cauliflower/broccoli mix. Was going to make the potato recipe jasdip posted this morning, but I like sweet potatoes with pork.

Aptosca, The first one isn't 'Apple Blossom', I'd say 'Minerva' and the second I agree with Kristi, I'm sure it's 'Amigo'. When flowers are really stressed they appear all sorts of messed up and ESPECIALLY if they're blooming in the box. They aren't happy to bloom in those conditions and they let you know! Josh

Thank you so much Pluckymama. That is a great help (and you are right, they do look great). I am off tomorrow to see a few more slabs of SS (Minas and Beleza) and will take another look at the Nordic Black. The Mumbai Grey SS that I took a sample of is doing the same watermark thing you are experiencing (and wow, the mineral oil only holds for a day at most). Soapstone International has told me it has to do with the finish (which they 400 grit, but that sounded kind of crazy considering). As I was thinking about the watermark issue, I just wondered if anyone has tried carnuba wax? I say this because it is used on cars (stay with me), and on the glossy coating of candy (like M&Ms). My thinking? Food grade, OK. And if it buffs to the point that it protects car exteriors, it is obviously durable.

murraysmom, we had a full fledged blizzard here last night. It had been raining then snowing since late afternoon, but by a little after 9pm. the wind and snow began big time. It was a white-out for the cars on the highway beyond, they had their flashers on. It continued for 45min. then the wind finally died down. This morning there was at least 3" of snow on the ground and the road out front was ice. Now temp is going up so ice is gone and I see green patches coming out from beneath the snow. The daffodils are flattened. The almanac had called for a blizzard at the end of March, so they weren't far off.

I would be fatter than I already am, if I ate three big meals a day.

One main meal for me, then light for the rest of the time.

On Sundays we have our main meal midday. Today it was beef shortribs, dauphinaise potatoes, roasted asparagus. YUM.

Well, Glenda, since you asked, I made White Chili based on your recipe. I cook my own dried beans and use ground turkey instead of chicken breast meat. It was quite good on this cold/damp day here in Ohio.

Haven't had it yet, and don't know. Guess I will go wherever my old black Dodge truck takes me. I have to go mop the floor for the old guy I take care of...once I get on the road, I will think of something. I only eat one meal a day too.

We had hot chicken sandwiches on homemade bread, mashed potatoes and gravy and the rest of the broccoli from yesterday....and a romaine lettuce salad from lettuce just harvested out of the garden.
Cookies for dessert.

I microwaved a Marie Callendar Sweet and Sour Chicken and it was great lots of chicken

First time I had White Chili was when I was driving to visit Donna OH, and stopped at a Bob Evan's restaurant.

Love that stuff.

I fixed stuffed peppers, mashed potatoes and sweet peas. DH has been asking for stuffed peppers, he was very happy.
