Guess the macro image

I have seen this done on other photography boards and it's a lot of fun. I'll start by posting part of an image. I'll appear as a macro image. It's up to you to guess what it is and what's it a part of. The person who guesses correctly posts their super macro image. When the image is properly guessed, you have to show the original that it came from, then pass the thread on to the person who guessed correctly. That person shows their macro image and let's the winner know if they're right, then shows the original image. And so on....

So, if you would like to try guessing, here is my super macro. Do you know what it is?

The kitchen in the second picture has an 8 ft ceiling. I see 3 tiles plus a bullnose tile between counterp and upper cabinet. Assuming 18" between countertop and bottom of upper cabinets, those aqua tiles must be 4 inch tiles. Figure 4 and 1/8 inch per tile once you add on the space the grout line takes up. Then, I count 14 tiles from ceiling to countertop in the second pic. So 14 x 4.13 is about 58 inches. Add 36 inches for lower cabinets gives 94 inches. An eight foot ceiling would be 96 inches so that's pretty close. I think the bottom two pics show a 9 foot ceiling. The upper cabinets against the back wall are divided into two segment. The "display" part at the top is tall enough to hold a decorative plate turned on edge...so probably 12 to 16 inches. The closed part of the upper cabinet appears to be the same height as the base cabinets which are usually right at 36 inches. So 36" for base, 18" for space between uppers and lowers, 36" for uppers and 12 to 16" for display section at top of uppers puts you over 8 foot but not close to 10 ft. My guess is that the portion of the ceiling where the pendant lights attach is 10 ft high and that the soffits are about 14 inches deep to allow room for HVAC ductwork to run. Hope this helps.

Antiquesilver...I imagine that ISO is not changeable when in any semi automatic mode. The camera wants to do that for you so it will most likely be automatic. However you should be able to raise the EV just one notch up to +0.3, or get a stronger light bulb. Also try substituting the thin cloth with white tissue paper or tracing paper. The cloth might be cutting out too much light. I know what you mean about too strong a light blowing out the detail on the silver pieces. But keep experimenting to get the right combination of camera setting, light and diffusor. If you are interested in reading photography books, I can highly recommend this one "Light - Science & Magic. An Introduction to Photographic Lighting."" by Fil Hunter, Steven Biver, Paul Fuqua. There are detailed explanations of setting up tabletop lighting with a whole chapter dealing with how to photograph metal objects. You might want to have a look in your library or bookstores. The ISBN (I have the 3rd edition) is: ISBN-13:978-0-240-80819-2 , published by Focal Press. Tutorial number nine will be a few days late this week. Oh man, Eric. One of the words you used in your question could be part of what this is. It is very macro. I didn't want to give too much away. I'll post a larger section of it.
