Remember my Show? Guess what I found

I was on my laptop and I found an old document with a list of the KTerÂs who wanted to hear my show. Boy..did that bring back memories of when we were mailing the CDÂs and tapes around the world. Going to have to dig out some of my old shows to listen to.

Yep, I made a copy and have them in my car. Unfortunately, they don't "hold their place" like commercial CDs- I hear LOTS of the beginning of the CD but not as much of the end so I try to listen to them while on longer trips.

You also made me some to listen to while cleaning the house- I love them!

I got my box of 6 from Kathy today, and I can't believe how neat they are. I am so excited at being able to get these, haven't seen anything like them here in stores. Even with shipping, they are a bargain. IMO, these are just the perfect centers for plate flowers. I have to hit GW now and find some suitable plates. Chelone, the cat's name is Lily, sister (in spirit) to Tiger, an orange male and the coolest cat who ever walked the face of the earth. Lily is more normal cat, Tiger thinks he is a person. He knows more people in the neighborhood than I do, and frequents most of their homes. There is also a third orange long-hair named Molly. Orange cats have the best temperaments IME. Thanks for the compliments - - it's nice to hear after all that sweat I invested! All of the materials used were found on my property except for the stone dust, which I got at a discount through a friend. I have to say right now I actually love the look of the walkway, while I think the patio is just "ok". I do prefer the irregular stones, impractical as they may be. The patio stones are a bit out of line since I was just eyeballing them and then I had friends come in to help finish who weren't as picky as me! As for Poor Martha (as she has come to be known in the neighborhood), my next step if the town historian doesn't call back and take over is to go to the Bureau of Vital Statistics (I think that's what it's called) in Hartford and search for that date of death. If there is a Martha, well, Bingo. If not, and there are one or two other people with that DOD, I can check which cemetery they were buried in and see if they have stones (and whether they are replacement stones). If there is no match that way, I might be out of luck because that means the stone was not local. In that case I would just beg the historical society or a cemetery to take it. The woman from the Connecticut Gravestone Network also said she can search ancestors.com because she has a membership. So we'll see if she comes up with anything. For now Poor Martha has been moved to the patio, where I'm sure she's doing a great job of freaking out the mailman when he walks up to my house everyday. Hopefully he has figured out that she was unearthed during the walkway reno!

Karen, When you click on this link. Click on picture gallery. Shows many pages of sans. One was my table in front of the window. Another was 'woodnative' office window picture of his sans. When click on, it takes you to this site. Other pictures on there as well. I saw tall sans cut and loaded in a cardboard box. Maybe one inch of root on each stock. Clicked on the picture and was on a wholeseller from Taiwan. Another shows rolls of dwarf hahnii sans in a green house also another Taiwan wholeseller. Can't miss.

It still thrills me that so many of you wanted to hear me on the air. Too bad the station wasn't hooked up to the internet back then...
Last night I dug out one of my old shows...heard the songs that I dedicated to the KT...what memories!!!!!

SamKaren, you are too funny, ROFL. I emailed her to tell her that I loved the CD copy of her show that she made me and that I still listen to it so many years later. I was so confused to read your reply on the KT, LOL.

But yes, I'm still rocking to it. The music is GREAT! :)

Oh yes, we are still rocking here too....I remember my DD took the copies of the CD's to school and shared them with the class....who liked the "old time" music. LOL Budster

That was a fun time, Sam; I sure enjoyed getting to hear your show. Also the interview you did with a Three Dog Night member (his name escapes me). Remember I'd told you how my friend and former LA dj was the manager of Three Dog Night? You mentioned Reb Foster (dj) during your interview.

HA! I knew my loyal listeners were still rockin!

Budster I remember when DD took it to school. I hope the kids are now lovers of 70's music.

Granlan....you mean Chuck Negron the lead singer? He was so great to talk to. I also interviewed the drummer Floyd Sneed. Both were very down to earth.

I have on my computer my very last show or my "Grand Finale". I love the song that I sent out to the KTer's "Whenever I Call You Friend".

I don't recall if you were interviewing Negron or Sneed when you 'dropped' the name of Reb Foster; I recall you got a surprised reaction of 'how did you know that?'. :)

I sure got a kick out of sharing this with the band's former manager.

BTW, one of the gifts I got for my last birthday was a radio broadcast of Reb Foster from the 70's. The music is always fun to hear, but what blew my mind was the 'news of the day' segments (Vietnam war, etc.). And of course, I wouldn't have recognized Reb's voice; he's in his 70's now, but still has a very nice voice..just deeper.

With each interview I did I tried to get as much obscure information as I could to make it interesting.

Would love to hear from everyone who has copies.....Anyone else still rockin'?
