Aside from the fact that the speakers may need to be re-foamed, you're still dealing with 20-year-old electronics for the crossover network. And speaker technology has advanced considerably from the mid-80s. I would replace them. Choices: if you liked the sound of the B&Ws, check out their DM-603. Other brands to check out, if you have access to better audio stores, include (alphabetically) Energy, KEF, Mission, Monitor Audio, Paradigm, PSB. Hi Sandra, I own an Epson 4490 Photo scanner and just place my photo on the bed and when my warm up light stops blinking, I push the button, it then opens my program. Then I choose Photogragh and click on preview to scan so my picture appears so I can do my cropping (see the dotted frame around pic) and what other adjustments if needed. Then I click on Scan for my final. I pick Printer so it scans LARGE for easier editing and print outs and I can make it smaller after, if I choose to send in e-mail or post on a forum. I shall upload a screen shot with further descriptions hoping it makes sense to help in any way. By choosing Printer, the cropped picture went from 2550x3509 pixels to 900x1183 cause you do NOT want to scan the bed along with your photo making the photo tiny and all in all a humongous file. If I chose screen/web, the picture would be 297x373 pixels which is WAY TOO small to be of value. Urlee

Dear Kelly, I made color copies of some old black and whites of my brother as a baby and I scanned them on the computer that had a touch up feature in it and it cleaned up a lot of the yellowing, creases, etc. I was also able to crop it on the computer and enlarge the image. I was great. After I was happy with the adjustsments I had made with the computer I changed the printer paper to picture paper made for printers. WHile it does not look exactly like a photo from a film place it does look a lot better than it did to begin with. Penny

I made the jacket extra large so that there is room for air to circulate between the jacket and the body, and so this helps, but the terry cloth is warmer than necessary in the desert. It was 115° here yesterday, but we waited until after 6PM to go in the pool so that it would be in the shade, and the temperature was below 110. The water in the pool yesterday was 92°, which is a bit tepid but still okay for swimming or floating. I do plan to make several jackets of different weights, but I will have to get fabric for them, and that might take a while. The next fabric I want takes a couple of months to get because it is printed to order. As for UV protection, we stay out of the sun in the summer and in the winter we wear sunscreen. December is the coldest month in Palm Springs, but still most of the days reach 70° or above. I heat the pool to 85-87° in the winter, and so it feels comfortable even if the air temperature is 70, but it does feel cold when we get out. On those days, I wear a full length terry cloth robe. The jackets will be good only for warmer days. We do not have a pool in Los Angeles, as we are close to the beach, which makes the weather much cooler in the summer (usually mid 70s), and we have wetsuits to wear if we go in the ocean. I'll look into a different fabric (other than terry cloth) for lining, but I don't think I have enough white cotton right now for that. I do have a shirt that I sometimes wear - Kevin might have one also, but he has been wearing a long Turkish cotton robe this week.
