Thank you all. Rick, we had heavy rain all week last week. Most of the blooms felt off, but 1/3 still hang on and now perk up. They do look pretty but not as full. One week of rain ruin most of the blooms in my garden. (good for my grass). Marie

My Outlaws are touring Western aus and have recently sent 3 photo disc of their travels and many of the photos are of the wildflowers. Oh how I wish it was me over there seeing this beautiful array of wildflowers. I will try to put some pictures on the forum when I work out how to do it. Anyone have simple instrustion for a simple minded person. Thanks

Yesterday, we took a drive in the Bellville, Sealy area and I found several beautiful types of wildflowers in bloom. Three of them were particularly interesting to me. The first one has narrow, widely spaced leaves and delicate lavender blooms,the second has pretty yellow flowers presented in sprays, and the third had larger, yellow flowers on an upright stem, with large leaves. Keeping in mind that water can travel a long distance before it makes an appearance, what are the conditions immediately on the exterior of the home where the moisture shows up? Post some images. Are there openings, doorways, windows, roof valleys? Is the house one or two stories tall? I think it's inevitable that you are going to have to open the walls on the interior adjacent to the problem area because if the moisture comes back again and again, it might be safe to assume that mold could be taking hold in the wall cavity where there should be insulation.

I'm told they're spiderwort. We have trillium at home (Minnesota). I love those!

Absolutely brilliant! Do you use a tripod? I've been thinking of getting one, but don't know if it is worth the hassle of getting out and setting up each time.

I've been admiring your photo's for a while now.

Thanks, Jean. The only time I use a tripod (cause I'm lazy) is when I shoot waterfalls, fireworks, or want a long exposure after sunset or sunrise. Lots of people use a monopod. Not me, yet, though!

OMGosh, those are gorgeous pictures! WoW!

I just learned this at my camera class tonight! LoL

I also learned I bought the wrong camera! Mine is so automatic I can't change the apperature or exposure and I can't meter. There is no "manual controls" to speak of. Oh, I can change the ISO, and the white balance and a few other things, but I'll know better next time!
