When i worked in the fabric store,had a lady come in with a dress she had made with crepe back satin.She wanted us to refund her money,because she said"the color wasn't right,it was faded in places",these were her words.So we asked how she had done the layout,she didn't even understand the question.So we pulled out the pattern so she could see what we meant,and sure enough she hadn't followed the "with nap"layout.So she ended up having to buy more fabric,but we gave her a discount on it and told her to make sure she was using the correct layout. The first thing that came to mind was that cute commercial with the little boy and his younger sister sitting at the table. She was crying up a storm and her brother asked her " have you had your nap today?" And she answered through her tears "no". He said " well, maybe you should have". :-)

I knew he was Coon the minute I saw him. Handsome fella. I'm still looking for a new Maine Coon kitten after losing my Bijou last month. You need some special tools to groom a Coon: a Belgian steel comb, a slicker brush to gently work out mats before they get big, a pin brush for the tail and lots of patience. You may not get all the grooming done that you want to in one session. You have to calm the kitty and let them know how great they are while you are grooming them, and give them some treats afterward for being good. I used to sing to Bijou and other cats while grooming them, the same way you'd sing to a baby while doing something they are not that fond of doing. It worked, and she was beautifully groomed and nail-clipped. Twice a year, I would take her for a professional grooming. It was just necessary, having such a very full coat.

If you have ridges you have to sand them down to get rid of them. Are you sure that the guy didn't use a spray texture on the walls prior to painting. It hides many imperfections. Is it an actual orange peel texture? If so you can buy a can and spray it on the flat areas to get that dimpled effect. Test spray on something else to see how far away and how heavy to spray. I used an artist brush to knock down overly large goobers that the orange peel spray sometimes left behind. Poor technique can cause dimpling - letting the roller get too dry and being forced to use excessive pressure can cause dimpling. This can also leave ridges.
