Dizzylizzy, most of them are in the ground, but I do have quite a lot in containers. The larger plants are in 16" plastic pots or bigger. Some are in 5gal nursery pots. Some are in large decorative ceramic pots. Others, like the bands and newly rooted roses go into gallon or slightly larger pots until they're big enough to go in the ground or a bigger container. Some areas of the yard have "permanent" potted roses, and other areas are temporary. I'm hoping by next yr to get many more in the ground, now that the septic system job is all done. We had 4 trees cut down for it, and now I have a huge area of the backyard open with more sunlight. It's gonna be a long process getting them all worked out.

No Nik, Mutabilis seedlings sometimes inherit their parent's trait for multicolored flowers. My observation has been mostly self seedlings inherit it. The cross I really want to see is Comtesse du Cayla X Mutabilis. My observation on that one, based on the innumerable times I've attempted it (both directions) is, they HATE each other. What did work was a presumed triploid mini crossed with Mutabilis, but it hasn't expressed the multicolored color shift. I say presumed triploid because it has yielded results with some pretty "mulish" mates that only fertile triploidy can explain.

Bunnies are the worst. I literally gave them a buffet at a house we used to have in Bowling Green. After that one, we lived in the country and that's when we got cats. Never had a bunny problem. Not even a deer. I think reality is going to hit this spring here at the new house. Lol

weather has turned hot forcing semps into bloom and sending them over fast. i'd be happy if they never bloomed.
