To ray ratliff: Neos smell better than any other orchid on the planet (a little biased perhaps?!?). To my nose, it's a mix of vanilla, oriental lily, and some citrus, among other things. My partner, upon sampling it for the first time, literally dropped the telephone, wept and claimed the fragrance stops time! It is stronger at night, but usually detectable in the daytime as well. I hope you don't have to wait too long, but I can't imagine you will not be enchanted. My Neos have kicked into high gear rooting, and I spotted a few tiny spikes, which sometimes form as early as the fall, but generally wait until summer to open.

I've seen them used, but never done it myself. Frankly, I'm a bit jealous that you have leaves to even use in your arrangments! And how could you sacrifice 3 gorgeous leaves?

Yes Terra, It works! I have successfully done this with cut roses my husband bought for me. The success rate was low (one out of six) but the one rose that took is the healthiest rose I have. He just bought be another bunch and I have been looking them over for potentials. Good luck I am so sentimental over that rose. Rhonda

I shot a bunch from the roof, the deck, the mid level and the bottom to show the beds and walkways all the way around. I think you just search boxofrox and it shows you my bzillion and a half posts VBEG inga, coffee and pics.....what a life, eh ??? sunny, I just have a little SD200 point and shoot and great subject matter. Me and my blooms are up close and personal and they just make it so easy to figure out how to compose :-) Jim, momma ate that pup all by herself. We had a row of raspberries there and they croaked so we popped the peppers in and yowsa ;-) I made two more bouquets today to take to an 89 year old for her birthday and a 95 year old just cuz she's kin. The first is for the latter and the second for the former and a couple of new CP's for good measure !!!!!
