AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGgggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

Tearing out hair.

Screeching.

Stomping feet.

Kicking through walls.

Smashing and crashing things.

Wheeeeewwww.

Feel a bit better now.

Mother in Law.

As King Henry II said, I sometimes think "Who will rid me of this meddlesome ...?"

Of course, I don't want her hurt, or injured, or scared...but if she could just go on a long, slow, enjoyable cruise around the world for a few months...to somewhere with no phone service...and with a few of her friends (how she manages to have any is beyond me) for company, and maybe a doctor to keep an eye on her...

For just a few months.

Thank you for letting me vent.

My daily prayer..."Thank you G-d for never allowing me to have children. Thank you G-d that I never, ever have to be a MIL."

((((( Caroline )))))) You probably would be a wonderful MIL because you would learn from yours how not to act.
A nice Margarita might make you feel better along with a hug from the pups.

I had my first bloom of Primal S this year too, it has been blooming like crazy. I got mine in the fall of 07, it didn't bloom last year but has been making up for it this time. I'm sure you are going to like this one.

Lyn I also live in zone 4 in MN if you are ordering daylilies have them sent in spring it is to late for planting this year. Daylilies need time to settle in and grow before freezing temperatures start. I have found that daylilies planted in spring here in the north have a much higher survival rate. By the way I have lots of daylilies and have gardened for well over twenty years so I have lots of experience growing daylilies.

Helen, I've been pouring over my Wilde catlogue too -- circling and underlining and making notes on the front. I'm also going to order some cannas (Tropical Sunrise) and try Banana Boat Sedge Grass. I'd also like to try Empress Wu hosta as the description sounds heavenly. Sandy (Mosswitch) and SW Gardens probably would know about that one. I'd really like to try Kamodo Dragon but it might look really odd in my hosta collection. Maybe I will, though. Sunny

Ha, I'm definitely not Brad, and I'm Zone 5 (Nebraska). I have a strip in my backyard that I had a symmetrical pattern of plants in, including roses. The roses got sick with RRD, and I had to dig all 6 of them up. Since I have a thing for symmetry, I went out and bought 9 Primal Screams and 9 Caradonna Salvias to fill in each gap. Here is what it looked like last year right after I planted them: I'm waiting for all the Primal Screams to be in bloom before I take a new picture, because I'm really hoping for the impact I'm visualizing in my head. The Primal Scream buds are now peeking over the salvia by a few inches, and the purple, orange and lime from the barberry bushes bookending them is quite a neon sight. I have 40 scapes, all heavily budded, so should be soon! Thanks, everyone!

Oh Linda!!! What I would give for a Margarita. What I would give to just lick the top from a rum bottle, or suck a wine cork, LOL.

Diabetes. So sad. NO alcohol. Much sadder. NO alcohol for 17 years. Sadder still. Seriously, my mouth is watering, even after all these years, at the thought of a Margarita or a glass of white wine. Have one for me!!!

Better yet...have one for my MIL. She needs one...or else she's had one too many. LOL

Darlin', God gave us mothers-in-law to give us a taste of that hot place and keep us on the right path! Our husbands appreciate us more because we are NOT like their mother; our kids learn how NOT to behave; and we have a good excuse to quote King Henry II.
As we say in Texas, Bless her heart (which is, in most cases, NOT the intention expressed!)

Caroline, you have my sympathy, completely. I had a mean, selfish, nasty, snide MIL. She passed away about 4 years ago. I try to be a compassionate person, but God help me, I've never once missed her.

One thing that I will give her credit for is that I truly believe she has made me a better MIL to my DIL.

Hang in there and instead of wishing she'd go on a long cruise, why not wish she'd just move to a very remote country with no phone service. LOL
