It just made my day yesterday when my pony Princess kept falling me around, being so sweet and wanting ear rubs. I loved it.

Melinda thank you for the wonderful things you sent.I needed peat pellets so they were very much appreciated along with the Lily Bulbs.I planted them thisafternoon.The foliage plant arrived in perfect condition.All I need to do was plop it in a pot and it looks like I just bought it at a store!!Love It!!.I also loved the kitchen towel.It is soo spring looking with the pretty flowers on it.That Lady Bug Shelf Sitter really makes me smile.That is *pardon the pun* Cute As A Bug!!Also a big thank you for the suet cake.My woodpeckers have been going thru them like mad lately. For me, the key difference between Rebecca's experiences and mine with CPM are the words "snow cover". She had total snow cover and total winter survival, where I usually have no consistent snow cover and no cane survival (though it's root hardy for me). That's why my CPM never blooms. The temperatures below the snow never get below 32 degrees F so that's why the air temperature can be well below zero and the rose survives fine. We're too dry to get consistent snow cover in the winter so my CPM never has surviving cane. I agree that she's not a rose for a small space, though she grows well on a obelisk. If you get consistent snow cover and/or bring it inside for the winter with the obelisk you might get blooms. Sorry to hear about JD, Carol. My John Davis only hangs in by a toenail every winter in my zone 4 pocket but isn't quite dead after several years. I've never gotten him big enough to bloom though. Cynthia

I grew up with horses...lots of good memories,....and some bad.

She's a cutie!
I always admired them but was afraid...I heard they can smell your fear??? Although the first time I actually road one I overdid it, besides not saddling right and slipping sideways and falling-got blisters on a way too long of a ride! But it was fun-but the last ride, too!

I have only road a horse twice, and not very good at that. I want to learn, Sunshine, the momma of Princess is ridable so.... one of these days. Someone borrowed us a saddle to try out on Sunshine, but we know nothing on how to do it. Gonna have to have someone come over to show us. I would love to try to ride Sunshine. If it works out, we may have to try to hire someone to saddle break Princess. But we will just have to see.
