I love houses and getting the chance to look inside, so I kind of like House Hunters. (It's a rare treat to see any of the shows, so I haven't had the chance to get too sick of them.) The realtors can be annoying, because they often seem to know as little as the buyers. I'm often shocked at the compromises people make in their original goal, or what priorities they use in buying a house they claim they want to live in for the next 20 yrs. On one we saw when dd was in the hospital, a couple chose a house weighted heavily by the suitability of the back yard for their wedding. 1 day. 1 event. And after, like other shows, watching several episodes in a row (Is that how cable TV works?!), I had to wonder if married couples ever shop for houses. I'm a traditionalist, so was surprised to see that the majority of shows were with young boyfriend-girlfriend sets. One girlfriend intended to take both of the master bedroom walk-in closets to herself, since 'I worked hard to build my own credit and I'm putting that on the line for this house.' Oh, yeah...that relationship was going to last... Her 'beloved' was told he could keep his stuff in the closet off his basement office. HH Internat'l is too out there for me... Guess I just can't relate, as a non-traveler..and someone without millions to spend on a 2nd home. I like to imagine myself in the scenario and that will just never happen.

Here's a tip for anyone going on a cruise or vacation. Write down a list of what goes in all suitcases and carryons. Keep the list in your purse so you can refer to it during the trip. And when you're home unpacking, make sure everything on the list gets put away properly. I call it "reverse packing". I once made a list and used it for several years. Hey, travelling with two kids (any age) is not simple. And for stupidest goofs-when I was visiting family in Buffalo NY one winter, I left my winter snow boots in the motel. I placed them next to the TV, intending to wear them. Somehow I left without them. I called the hotel the next day but they couldn't find them. Who would (steal/ throw out) a well-worn pair of boots ?

Mary WOIA has been blooming for anearly a month, but they are not opening good, been too cool at night, but it was a heat wave today, very hot and humid out today, I went out and watered most of them twice todaythese daylilies like a lot of water..mary, These iris blooms good in the pots.since. moving out of town on land my daughter owns, every thing has to be in pots now. the ground is so hard aint no way I can dig a hole to plant anything, even tried to dig a hole with a hachet and that didn't work either,I have a grown grandson that I say is strong as a mule, and he tried to dig a hole for me to put some thing and he couldn't get more then 2inches deep so it gos in a pot now.
