What do you pay for your cleaning help?
Comments (8)Hi, I clean homes in North Carolina, near Charlotte, I charge by the job and not by the hour. from what I hear you are getting off very cheap for the size home you have. I just contracted a home today under 2000 sq. ft. for $100 per clean. I will be going on a bi weekly basis. Homes that are about 3000-3500 sq.ft. usually go for about 175 to 225. it depends alot on how a home is managed. i make a lot of determinations when I go for the estimate. It also depends on the type of clean they want. A top to bottom verses general. A weekly clean differs from a bi-wkly. I don't do monthly. I provide all cleaning supplies and vacs.I am at a house your size about 3 or 4 hours by myself. You have to keep in mind also that if there are 2 or more people working you have to multiply the time by the number of people. If there are 2 people working and they are there 2 hrs. then they did 4 hrs of work. nevr let them tell you to pay what ever. have an agreed amount for an agreed set of duties. always be up front with all the details. it saves you the frustrations you are having now. i love what I do!...See Morecat has bad teeth
Comments (21)I didn't know about the wet food push. My cat lost all of his tiny gummer teeth the first year we had him. There the ones between the canines. He has a terrible time with constipation. I give him Sheba wet food mixed with pumpkin, water and a prescription every day. It doesn't help much. I tried mineral oil in his food and he won't eat it. He lost a few teeth about a month ago. They were all attacted on a plate like tooth. Now he has trouble some times with his food getting stuck in his teeth. I have no extra money to take him to the vet now. He really needs his teeth cleaned. He is 7 years old. I keep praying God with send the money soon. It breaks my heart that he has to suffer. He is my best kitty friend ever....See MorePrice for cleaning dog's teeth
Comments (9)seems like costs for dental cleaning vary a LOT depending on where in the country you live, how good a job you want done, how closely you want your pet monitored and cared for while anesthetized, and how expertly you want any extractions done. where my wife works as a dental technician here in Los Angeles the average dental runs just under $1000... but can easily get over $2000. But in some clinics here I have worked relief at $250 is standard (but the standard of care at these places is BELOW standards!)- I sure wouldn't want my own pet done there, even if I did the dental myself! Where I work now the average is about $600, but you rarely get a doctor involved... which I don't necessarily think is a good thing... and we don't routinely radiograph teeth (and therefore probably miss a LOT of stuff). Saving money on dentals is not necessarily a good thing in the long run... Not sure where in the country you are, but my only experience is with Los Angeles prices....See MoreVet said to brush my cat's teeth
Comments (12)How often would be recommended for brushing a cat's teeth? My vet said to go with a diet of canned food for hydration and dry food for his teeth. I also picked up a catnip flavoured snack that has tartar and plaque control. Are these snacks effective? I think brushing a cat's teeth would be like trimming their nails: we let them take care of it naturally (with their grooming), provide the right environment/food to encourage good health, and do a little extra here and there to provide holistic health care. I think animals in the wild have ways they naturally deal with their health and hygiene and we need to provide what they've lost when we bring them into our homes and domesticate them. But sometimes human biases affect how we think we need to care for our pets. We bathe daily but may never need to bathe a cat or only rarely when they've gotten into something that has really gotten their fur dirty. I've read up on the link provided in another thread regarding feeding canned cat food over dry food and it had links to nutritional information comparing many brands. Does anyone know of a similar type site that would cover dry food and snacks they can share?...See MoreMeghane
