Our "cold front" moved in last night without so much as a drop. The humidity was noticeably lower this morning. It's still getting to 82 which is about 7 degrees above normal and it could be 88 by Sunday. If the forcast holds up we will have had a 9 day stretch with an average high of 83. That is July weather around here. I'm still amzed how quicly things are growing (including my lawn, which I've had to cut twice a week for the past month). I really noticed my Roebellini taking on a nice summer shape. I think this is the first spring that I've been able to get it acclimated enough to the sun that there has been virtually no sun burn. Everyone enjoy their long weekend. Mine gets kicked off tonight getting the lawn cut, cracking open a few cold ones, putting the Tigers on the radio, and enjoying the tropical view with a nice DRY summer breeze.

Hi, I looked up Arizona Sun and it is a hybrid. There is an x in the complete name. That means the seedings may not come true. Being that it is a blanket flower, there may not be much difference though, so it may be worth it to see what grows. It seems it was bred to have uniform colors on large flowers on a compact plant. So maybe the seedlings won't be as "perfect" a bedding plant, maybe taller or airier looking. Remy

We had a pleasant day up here on Vancouver Island. In our valley the sun was shining and all was right with the world. We get rain, rain and more rain up here, but just one day of sunshine makes life worth living! Supposed to be nice for a couple of days...then....well let's just say that if you are storing Noah's Ark, just send it up my way, LOL.

Oh, yes!! We've had seemingly endless grey days and it's so nice to see the sun! When I used grey as my basic neutral, I worried that Tennessee's grey winter days would just be too overwhelming with grey both outside and inside, but I have a lot of bright art work against the interior grey so it isn't depressing. But I sure get tired of grey days. In northern Indiana, in our lakeside house, I was used to light bouncing off either water, ice, or snow! Not saying I miss the snow, but it does brighten things up!
