Karen, I'd appreciate if you'd ask someone at the Plant Society. Rare or not, I was curious why colors differed. Thanks. Pug, I feel 'good inside' when you compliment my plants, especially after viewing all your beautys. When I see or think Adenium, the first thing that comes to mind is your huge, flower-filled Adenium..It's the best!!! Honest to God, yours is the prettiest I'd ever seen. Please post it again.. :) Now Stephania..Your Euphorbias are beautiful, much nicer than mine will ever be, but the difference is, I don't live in Thailand, let alone able to keep tropicals/succulents outdoors 365 days per year, and 366 on Leap Year. :) Even your Aglaonema, in Pic 4 is doing great. Again, much nicer than mine will ever look. Have you ever visited the US? I live in the Midwest. The center of United States. We endure gray/freezing/dry winters. Sunless and succulents don't mix. Even our summers are short, and seem to be getting shorter each year. So, yes, your Euphorbias are beautiful, and I'm sure you're proud showing them off..please don't take this the wrong way, but I don't post pics to compete. I too am proud when a plant flowers or variegation remains on leaves after several months of darkness. I also enjoy viewing others' plant pics..wish there were more.. BTW, I adore your E. Thai, last picture. I would love to find one...guess I'll start hunting..lol.. Would you happen to know its name? Again I want to thank everyone for your help..hugs, Toni

Thank you so much, Carol, you are the kindest person, and I know you have your own burden to carry. Caring about each other amidst all the bad national and world news is so sustaining and helps in every way. By the way, I can't recall (most things), but have you joined the gardening forum that many of us are streaming to? I loved coming here for so many years, but recent events have left a bitter taste in my mouth. So many of us are over there now, and it's a very friendly and easy to use site. I hope everyone who reads this will wander over there and decide to join. It's the Roses Forum in the National Gardening Association and so many of us have joined there that hopefully you'll all feel right at home. I'll often come back here, also, but too many annoying and frustrating things have happened here, and it's just not a welcoming place any more. So sad, after all these years, but sometimes we're forced to move on.

Ok, as a fragrance lover, I'll admit the flowers play a huge part, but there are so many other wonderful things about roses, and it's so fun to explore the various species and hybrids etc and see so much diversity. I too wish people would post more pics on HMF of other parts of roses, often it's all close-up shots of blooms and that doesn't tell the whole story at all! I was exploring rugosas after someone made a thread about them today, and saw this beauty. Young cane of "Dr Eckener": Now those are some gorgeous thorns...
