Here is an image I captured of a little guy born 3 months early, due to complications he spent another 1 1/2 months in the hospital. Our families are really close and we spent a lot of time at the Hospital with our friends for the support. When I took this picture it was the first day he really started to respond to touch and sound, the adult hand belongs to his father. Also, every picture of my daughter moves me but I thought it would be rude for me to post all 4,000 pictures of her, I'm not kidding either.

My daughter Paige is only 2 years old and she surprised me with this picture. She is always moving around, I simply caught her at the right moment. I didn't know I even got the picture until I put it into my computer.

Then here is my sister. I wasn't the photographer, I simply asked my sister to move over to this area by a window so I could take a different type of picture. I edited a little and ended up with a picture that always makes me look at her and wonder what she's thinking.

Uniq, your pics are as beautiful, too...My grandson is two, too and it is so hard to get him to be still. When I get him to sit, he manages to make any kind of movement, period....The pic of your sis is gorgeous!

I am really enjoying the pictures.
I took this picture in a little stream running into Lake Tahoe.....it was in October and the kokanee trout were spawning.
I was pretty happy when I saw it on the computer screen.

Carol, that is an awesome picture, and I love lake Tahoe. I used to live in Moneterey and went there all the time.

Just a suggestion, you should look into getting a polarizer for your Dimage Z1. It would take alot of that water reflection away.

I like the fish picture. It looks like the fish are sitting on the "dry" ground though. Is it possible to add water back in?

It is because the water is so clear.....
Thanks for the advise about the filter, Joe. I am thinking about getting a different camera later this year but can't decide what I want to get.
I have had a lot of trouble with the Minolta Dimage Z1.

That camera is starting it forth year since being announced, in the film days you would just be breaking it in by now, However, now evrything is electrical and digitized so life spans do not last very long. I am sure you are well aware of that though.

If you are looking for another Konica-Minolta I wouldnt suggest it. Sony bought out their camera division so I dont know how much support you would get for a camera that is no longer produced, even though stores are still selling these cameras.

I've photographed many sunrises behind our barn. This was the tail end of one. It's not as spectacular as some of the others, but I've always had a special fondness for it.
