Except they tell me that computer printed pictures will fade with time. I'm hoping that is because of the air and light getting to them..which wouldn't be the case in an album. I had one that I had hanging on my bulletin board and it faded to a ghostly print in a short time. I have one under glass on my desk and it is fading some but not as fast as the one that was completely exposed...both have had about the same amount of light..only the one under glass was sealed from the air...but it "is" fading. I can't see that the ones in my albums have faded, but I don't think they will stand the test of time...

hi i havent posted on here in forever but you really should get your photos in acid free scrapbooks and there will be loads of space to journal about your photos also should be be done with acid free ink. Married 19 years last March. Album is on our desk in the den. Looked at it repeatedly over the past couple of weeks picking out shots to enlarge and give MIL on her 80th birthday. These included pictures of her 2 favorite brothers, now long-departed, and DH's only brother, now long-estranged. We presented the pictures to her privately, just the 2 of us along with FIL, because we knew she would cry buckets. And she did. Then she insisted on taking all the pictures along when we went out to "dinner" with a few other family members. "Dinner" was a huge surprise birthday party with about 250 guests, loads of food and drink, a DJ, dancing, and a Mariachi Band which serenaded her. She was like a 6 year old in a candy shop for the first time! It was adorable. Our wedding album is priceless. When our entire area flooded and we had to be evacuated, the only things we took with us were our family Bible and our wedding pictures.

I signed up for Social Security at age 62. I applied online. A day later a Social Security worker phoned me to ask one question and told me the amount I would receive and the date SS would start. Painless. Then about three months before I turned 65 I received my Medicare card through the mail. Because I was already getting SS I was automatically sent a Medicare card. Both Part A and Part B are shown on the card. If I chose not to pay for Part B the instructions said to mail back the card and they would send me a card for Part A only. If I chose to keep Part B with premiums deducted from my SS checks I was to separate the Medicare card from the rest of the paperwork they sent and put it in my wallet. Nothing more needed to be done. Easy peasy. I never drove anywhere to stand in any line to sign up for either Social Security or Medicare. Kessala
