Kay, Madonna Arsenault is new for me, I bought her last fall. I was waiting for her to open and I think it was worth the wait! Jean, thanks for the comments about the seedlings. Shores of Time and Linda Beck are looking glorious in your garden! Those are two of my favorites here, and I look forward to seeing them bloom. Only two scapes in my Shores clump have fans, and LB just started to scape, so it's going to be awhile before I see mine.

About the NOID purple: Laura - You are right about the bloom shapes not matching on Lounge Lizard and the NOID. The NOID has very round petals, while Lounge Lizard's are longer and more pointed. I know it's not Lord of Rings because I used to grow that one. Nancykvb - The color is similar to Mary's Baby, but the bloom is 6 inches. Julia - The seller was unable to identify it. Asking him was my first course of action. Out of the dozens of times I have received the wrong plant, I've only had one seller who was able to identify a plant by its photo. I always think that's odd. Several times sellers have replied that they don't have anything that looks like the daylily in my photo. So I'm always left wondering if what I got was a stray seedling.

That's funny Ruth. Sherry Lane Carr was one of my oldest daylilies here. It grew contentedly and productively for many many years until a daylily friend of mine saw it and had to have it. I gifted it to her as it was time to move on to other yellows......Shores of Time got to bloom last year before going down for the count over last winter. Upon seeing that bloom I was reminded of why I kept trying to grow her. What a pretty thing she is and why I enjoyed seeing yours...........Maryl
