rm54, I suggest you go to home depot or a place that sells a wide variety of flooring and look at the options. Look at laminate, engineered hardwood, prefinished hardwood. You'll see a variety of textures. It may help you appreciate the nuances in your unique floor. Sometimes you have to look at things with different eyes and appreciate the character. I am two coats of water based poly away from refinishing my solid red oak floors and I made every mistake in the book. But they don't look that bad. My floors are randomly uneven, dented, scratched and splotchy, but when the first two coats of poly went on, they actually looked nice and on trend. Today I went to Home Depot and touched the wide variety of flooring they had and compared it to mine. I like mine better! I actually think I prefer the random waves and imperfections to a perfectly smooth finished floor. Google "hand scraped wood floors" and look at pictures to see what people are doing and buying. You may learn to like your floors as is.

I'd definitely re-do that one. The National Center for Home Food Preservation says to treat them as though they were unsealed and I agree. Something low acid, like vegetables, is not something I'm going to mess around with and hope it's OK, I'd go that extra step and be sure. I've gotten a little "heavy handed" when screwing on rings and bent several lids, and it doesn't really take a lot of pressure to do that either. Happy Canning! Annie

Four, I think I'm wrong about the subspecies. Well, there aren't any reports of undulatifolius occurring in Florida on I naturalist. That ssp. occurs in Mexico and the Caribbean. There are other subspecies occurring in Florida, hirtellus and imbecillus. Oplismenus hitellus. It has cool looking grass flowers. I was thinking it was a dayflower at first also. I was hiking in the woods recently and got all excited, because I thought I stumbled upon some native Commelina erecta. When I returned later I realized it was really some look alike grass species. 😪 My Deer Tongue Grass, Dichanthelium clandestinum looks very Commelinaish.😂 You have the live specimen so you can have fun, and work out which subspecies

There is always some but that looks excessive. I'd exchange understanding there is a schedule impact. Many production delivery & quality issues in all brands over the past 26 months of Covid. The last four homes full of Kohler product were pretty great except for some import toilet mechanisms they used, quickly replaced. Every sink material & color has both advantages & disadvantages. There is no perfection, but lots of choices and prices from under $100 to over $10K.
