4 oz (Mason) jelly jars sound great for this job. Or, if you want to get slightly fancier, I ordered 350 1.5 oz hex jars from this site for the honey favors @ my sisters wedding a year and a half ago. I was very pleased with the service and pricing. There is no minimum order. Perhaps the 4 or 6 oz hex jars would work for you? The solid lids might be slightly more elegant than canning jars. You planning on tying a ribbon with a hang tag around the final version? Maybe with a poem or contents or serving suggestions? We did that, plus see-through printed labels on the front... you can also use a circle of fabric (tied by a ribbon) to either cover the lid or the whole jar...

@hoosierquilt I think 45 is the overall room temperature. Since the tree is placed near the windows and the window is not well insulated, there was probably freezing guts of wind coming from outside and onto the tree.

You're definitely right. I've already decided that the mirror has to go. It's 8 years old. I spent most of the afternoon trying to find a new one. No success. I could repaint the frame (wouldn't deal with the style of it, however), or just put it in another room. I need something with a simpler frame in either gold or wood tone. If the mirrors at Stenella weren't so outrageously expensive, I would've bought one there. They had a couple at Homegoods that were fake bamboo, but they were too small or too over the top. I like the height of the existing mirror for reflecting light and breaking up some of the dark blue walls.

I don't see the legs you like? I also don't understand the solid sides on the open end. Why not just legs like on the green island? Do you need drawers opening toward the dishwasher? The inspiration pics you show are more traditional in feel with things only opening on the sides. The look of having drawer fronts on the end and on the side takes away the integrity/authenticity/genuineness of the piece...Like you know it's lying to you somehow, since it's not possible for real drawer fronts to be both places. Does that make sense? If you want the solid sides on the open end if you want the drawers that open toward the dishwasher, I'd try to make those sections look similar from the side to give it symmetry. (Maybe just vertical framed panels in each place) Otherwise, I'd open the open end and support it with a leg like on the green island, and I'd divide the drawers equally along the side for the rest...either 3 equally wide columns, or cut it to 2 columns, letting the end toward the dishwasher be fairly plain...Again, maybe using framed, vertical panels, 2 or 3, side by side. I would leave it all drawers, because I went with all doors to copy my inspiration island, but for function, now wish I had drawers instead. I might actually change them, because my dh is my cabinet maker and is a dear enough to do it if I want.
