sheesharee, you have a wonderful start to your tree. I hope you can find more blue ornies this yr, I know last year there were some stunning ones at Walmart, but don't worry they will be back, it takes time to get a bunch together, that is what makes it fun. If you have a Garden Ridge store near you check there, they have a giant selection of ornies. You are right about your tree, it is full and it takes a bunch of ornies to do a tree. One reason I love silk flowers in a tree is because it helps fill in the empty spaces. Michaels had a wonderful sale last weekend on silks, definately check there if you want to add in more. Tulle netting is also a beautiful "stuffer" in a tree. I got this photo from a christmas group I found a long time ago. See how adding in flowers makes a great filler?

My next door neighbor does rather "contemporary" decorating for Christmas. They use some of those extra large ornaments just laying in the greenery on the mantel and on the hearth. I was really surprised at how nice they looked when I first saw them. You can also use them out in your yard like a "garden globe" to add some color. You can often find those wide, metal casserole holders or candle holders at the TS to use as a "base" for them. Not sure if you could take the caps off and use them upside down on a dowel or garden stake--the wind might whip them around too much. If I had them, I think I would just hang them along the front edge of my porch--maybe with some big bright bows at the top. Luvs

I love to join swaps and have gotten so many awesome things in swaps in the past, but I am so sick of paying outrageous prices for shipping, when half the time the stuff is damaged and broken before it gets to you, or lost! You'd think they would try to be more careful, especially since the postal workers get high wages! But am anxious to see what you all get and hope y'all have a blast with it!
