I started reading the Grieving Forum several years ago when I was hashing out some feelings about my father, who had died *years* ago...but I was still hashing out feelings.

Then I stopped when it seemed like I didn't need it any more, only to realize, when I went "over there" one boring cold day, that sometimes days will go by without anyone responding to a thread.

How horrible it must be for a bereaved person to pour out her heart & have nobody respond.

so I check in every now & then.

You are so good, Sylvia, for doing this. I can't take myself over there, yet. It might help, but with so much loss in recent years, I would rather not open that door right now.

Sylvia, I'm so glad you visit the Grieving Forum regularly and post alerts here. I used to visit more regularly myself, and should get back to that. When I first found the forum, Lulie Wayne was a prominent member. She had lost her daughter six years before. I was only a couple of years into my grief, and I remember thinking six years was such a terribly long time. Now it's been eight years since my Jill died.

Anyway, you always manage to say the right thing, and I know you've helped a lot of people get through one of the worst times of their lives.
