Questions for "The Bachelor" watchers

I happened to see what I assume was the end of last episode of this years Bachelor last night, and a little of the post-season show that followed. I started watching when the girl he turned down (Lindsay?) met him in that tropical setting. She seemed to have high hopes.

Does the show eliminate the women as it goes along, so that he ends up with two from which to choose?

Do any of the final couples end up married (and staying married)?

Did anyone else get the feeling that Sean's (Shawn's?) feelings for Katherine were stronger than hers for him?

Which girl were you rooting for?

They are eliminated week by week by the bachelor. He gives out roses and when you don't get one, you're gone. He had 26 women to start. He was rejected by a woman in the bachelorette series and was likable so they made him bachelor. The new Bachelorette was the 4th runner up but was so likable she will return. She was the one I liked all along, and was in the final 4 who go home to meet their parents. Catherine was a dark horse and I found out weeks ago she was the one because there is always a leak. Initially I thought WHAT? but now I see why she was picked. She was more reserved than many of them but I think it's genuine. Two or three got married on the show and have kids now. Most break up in a few months. Logistically it's easy to fall in love in paradise ,and then it's back to the real world.

I was rooting for Lindsey since she was from my state (Missouri).. but had read on Reality Steve's site that Catherine would be the winner so the ending wasn't a surprise for me. Catherine and Sean seem smitten with each other, I hope it works out for them.

I have grown them for the past 8 years or so. They are one of my absolute favs! Deadheading will prevent them from going to seed, which doesnt sound like something you really want to do in order to collect seed. When I grow them, I want them to go to seed ASAP so I can IMMEDIATELY sow more of them for the next crop. You can get 3 crops a year here in zone 7 NC. My first ones bloomed in early May. I already have new seedlings coming up for another crop of these beauties in July, because I sowed more a couple of weeks into May. Really, you can sow them continuously all Summer to experiment. I cant get enough of their innocent beauty. They make terrific cut flowers or as everlastings (dried) if you cut them soon after bloom. I stick them in my hair when I make a French braid. Just cut a 2 inch stem and insert into the folds of the braid in the back of your head. The ladies in the pew behind me in church last Sunday really enjoyed it! Email me to discuss if you'd care to. hey donna, I'm in south Texas, very hot weather already this is tthe first year I get Orioles so I'm very excited about it. I saw the female do it again, so I will be looking for a shady spot this afternoon to move my HB feeder and I will be putting orange slices for her.I have so much action going on in my back yard today, one of my feeders is right by a window so I've been abel to see the hummingbirds pretty close, and they are curious, they look straight at me. I saw one with a red chest and one with a purple chest. green on the back, I saw two duller lookng ones , I don't have time to search for them on the internet but first thing tomorrow morning.

well, that's not encouraging, I have eagles and hawks overhead every day and a BIG owl in the fir tree; to say nothing of feral cats that have been dumped in the woods here. I have all my feeders on extra tall shepherds hooks up high enough a cat can't get to them, but the doves have to be roosting nearby right? I tried to see if they would come to me, but they went up into the trees. They must have been on their own for awhile..Kathy

Darn that Reality Steve. Grandson peeked weeks ago, and I knew I had to too or he would've told me. I like Catherine although I think she came from nowhere to the top of the pack. She's cute and smart.

I watched the final hour of last night's episode and 2 or 3 others during the season. One of the things Sean did in an earlier episode was tell the woman in private - before the rose ceremony - that he was going to send her home. That way she didn't have to stand there waiting till all the others had received their rose. I thought that was so considerate of him.

But then last night his little speech to Lindsay before he finally revealed that she wasn't getting the proposal seemed almost cruel. I know this is for the ratings but I honestly thought when he started speaking about how wonderful she was and how strong their attraction was - that he was going to propose. I think he could have done a better job.

Alisande...I too thought his feelings were stronger than hers...even on the talk shows today...maybe she is a lil shy...they are going too be so busy with his DWTS...AND THE t.v. wedding hope they do not get over whelmed with it all...

He's going to be on DWTS? Yikes! What does he do for a living? Or maybe I should say what did he do for a living?

Thanks for explaining, folks. The show must really dislike Reality Steve, whoever he is. :-)

I was wondering who would replace the shirtless Maks on dwts. Sean will fit the bill.

I am happy that Des is the new bachelorette. I just hope her creepy brother is not allowed on.

I like Lindsay and was rooting for her, but as each date progressed I noticed Sean and Katherine had a deeper connection. She also seemed more mature. I too sneaked a peak on Reality Steve a few weeks ago.
