Photo documentation Photo author me Photo author me Just found Last week I was in Szombathely HUN, took part the yearly meeting of the Western Hungarian Nursery Society, where the Conifer Tresury 3.0 was first introduced. In a nice village I met a strange giant dwarf Picea pungens. I made some photos, and shown to Tóth Gyula, the hungarian conifer ceasar". Gyula told me, he is also looking this one since 20 years, but till now had no decision, weather this one will work good. In the middle there are dried branchlets, possibly this could cause later some problem. Maybe, if we cut from the top, we could have a nice new cultivar This is an adventure, how to bring out this aged beauty a wealthy nice new plant. Any suggestions, Friends? Anyway, this plant is a member of the series of Picea pungens in Hungary, which are first pendulous, than blue or green, and give a sight as of they would be columns. Nice pics, thanks Thunderhead is first in the collection. Kevin, till now we had no infos, that Sid made anything with Abies koreana. Nate, Its good. Denver is far enough from Connecticut to collect of his selections, but as I guess, its a great work there for the american conifering. I wish to all american breeders to send a copy of their finds to Denver BG. They give attention for. Thanks Denver. Zsolt
