Confused about venting duct diameter vs. CFM

Hello everyone. I am planning a remodel and will go from no outside ventilation to a pro-style 30" gas range (Either Electrolux Icon, GE Monogram, or Tnermador Pro Harmony)and an under cabinet range hood.

I have to vent up the wall, 90 degree turn along ceiling fo about 3 feet, and then 90 degree turn into a 9 foot straigt shot horizontally out the side of the house.

I can accomodate a 7" or 8" round duct, but not larger.

I like the Zephyr Typhoon because it is 7" duct, 859 CFM, and easy cleaning. I'm leary of it because there is really not a lot of capture area. Does the amount of capture area really make a difference?

I then think about going with a Vent-a-hood 600 CFM with 8" ducts but have heard some negative things about VAH.

So, would I do better with a larger duct size and lower CFM, or smaller duct size and higher CFM?

Are there any other under cabinet models anyone would recommend? I'm trying to spend less than $1500 and get at least 600 CFM. I'm also trying to find something as quiet as possible.

Thanks a lot for the advice.
