IÂm planning on a brunch. My family lives far so I thought a brunch would be nice so they can get home early.

Need to look for my recipes & plan my menu today.

We are going to familys house but I did find this recipe that I would like to try sometime soon. It sounds delicious.

What wonderful eggs. Years ago my sister and I had such fun making Ukrainian eggs. It's like creating with your eyes shut since you don't know what it's going to look like until you melt the current layer of wax off. We didn't follow any kind of pattern yet the designs on your eggs are very familiar to what we did. I'll have to ask her if she still has the tools to do more.

Jan, glad you're doing well! I hear you about baking supplies... I'm glad I had huge pantry reserves when this craziness started. The trees are looking like they're as giddy about the prospect of going outside than I am to put them there, LOL! I'm very new to hydroponics. The Krakty method just seemed the easiest one to set up, no air pump or anything. I ordered 2 hexagonal planters from gogrowplanters. I got them from Amazon because I have prime, so shipping is quick and free. I called customer service on he gogrowplanters website, and the lady, Cindy, is absolutely phenomenal. She explained everything. Amy, I hear you! I feel like I'm sharing my house with 2 mutants, lol. Laura, great to hear from you! Yes, I've noticed you typically don't have as many high and lows in Annapolis than I do in Havre de Grace, although we're not even two hours apart. Ken, glad you're doing well. Your post brought back flashbacks of groundhog day, and you made me laugh out loud with the frost roulette, LOL ! Mike, it's so good to hear from you! I hope you feel better, and that your mom is ok! I know with absolute certainty that my trees would have been rotted dead 5 years ago, if it hadn't been for you, your UNWAVERING patience and all your kind advice. I'm very proud to consider you my friend. To each and every one of you, gimme pictures! Let us all live and travel vicariously though everyone else's pictures, LOL! I agree. I would just serve with a raspberry sauce or raspberry preserves. The strawbwrry topping looks icky to me and way to much.

Everyone is coming to my home!! I will have:
Ham and turkey
Macaroni and cheese
Corn casserole
Butter beans
Mustard greens
Pineapple casserole
Deviled eggs
Rolls and cornbread
Tea
Banana pudding
Turtle pie

We always do a sit-down dinner....final count looks like 9 people at the table.

Baked ham with whole cloves and fresh pineapple slices on top

Platter of two types of stuffed potatoes (I bake the potatoes, the cut them in half, spoon out the meat) -
The yams stuffed with mashed yams, butter, cinnamon and white potatoes stuffed with mashed potato, butter and chives)

steamed asparagus, lightly tossed in heated herbed oil and fresh lemon juice before serving

steamed french greens

chunky applesauce

Homemade buttermilk biscuits

I've been working on that..

We will be having 4 adults and 10 children. My husband will be the only Daddy..the other two Dad's are on deployment with the Navy.

Lastnight I think I narrowed it down.

Grilled pork loin with a peach grilling sauce and dogs for the kidlets.

Roasted Sweet potatoes
Red Beans and Rice
Layered salad or spring greens with candied pecans and vinagrette
Veggies with ranch dip and hummus
if the strawberries are good..those plus caramel dip (cream cheese and brown sugar)

Sweet Tea

Carrot Cake Sandwich Cookies
and maybe a caramel chocolate tart I came across

~one guest usually brings the "bunny cake", soda, chips and fudge(made by the 2nd oldest son).

I am so glad we started Spring Break today...I have the whole week off to prep and clean!

magic, restaurant where I go serves blackberry jam with their monte cristo sandwiches. Really compliments the sandwich. I think!

Company just left and after cooking and cleaning up after 5 for the last week I can happily say it's just the two of us for Easter! I'll think about it later--too tired now. We may eat out.
