Solar power questions

We were at a Home Builder's show last weekend and someone there had portable Solar Generator units. We found these pretty interesting. We've talked about adding some Solar energy at our camp in the woods, but haven't actually done it yet. We do have a gas generator out there, but turn it on only when necessary. Solar would allow us to run a refrigerator, or a pump for the well.

Anyway, one vendor at the show had these portable Solar Generators. Each one would store 1500 watts of power, enough to power a 20' refrigerator (per their brochure) for 27 hours (for a fully charged unit). I'm assuming you could recharge the unit fully, on a sunny day. Of course we have lots of questions. And this vendor was a "rental' place, not a Solar energy company. But, at the least, it's got us looking again.

Does anyone here have any experience with storing/using Solar energy? Other then Solar garden lights, of course, I'm a big expert on those myself :-)
