There's a bookcase by my chair, two shelves filled with books, two with "cow" plates, and the bottom shelf, which is unseen, is filled with junk. DH is always after me to "clean out my corner", lol.

Don't laugh, but my computer. Ever since I had neck surgery I just can't get a comfortable chair for home so hubby set me up in my chair. I have a great office chair at work. I have a little table that moves out of the way that holds a flat screen monitor and I have a lap desk for the keyboard and mouse. I am always being asked to "clean" my corner up too. I keep my current cross stitch stuff over there too.

First my chair...the little box in the center is made of wood and the imperfections in the wood are filled with turquoise. I bought it in an Indian gift shop in Utah many years ago. It is one of my most favorite possessions. I keep a pencil, pen, highlighter, note pad, nail file, chap stick, hand cream and a calander in it at all times. The jar holds change.

No pictures, but that is just as well!

My recliner is really old, don't remember when I got it, but it was when the "chaise" type was new. On one side is the pocket that I guess was meant to hold a TV remote and maybe a magazine. The elastic at the top is so stretched it sags to the floor. I don't keep the remotes in it. It has my hand-held hair dryer, which I use during commercials, my shoe horn, the cat's comb and a back scratcher. Unfortunately that is the side that is seen from the doorway.

On the other side is a two-tier table that has my magazines, and a container that has nail clippers, emery boards, pen, and Qtips on the lower shelf. On the top I keep my TV guide, the remotes and whatever my "goodies du jour" are.

I could live in that chair!

Gayle, yep, that is what DH needs...I don't know what takes him so long to get the job done in the bathroom...he might as well be productive while he is at it. lol

I no longer have an easy chair. I bought a big comfy recliner in 1985 because I suffered so much from migraines. It hurt to sit up and it hurt to lay down. The pain was still there, but not as much when I was in a slightly reclined position. I love that old chair, but Bob took it over about a year ago. I put it in the front room which is "his room". He can see out the window, watch tv and check out the internet all from that chair. He sometimes sleeps in it and often eats in it too. I wouldn't want it back now if he wanted me to have it. There's been all kinds of food and diet rootbeer spilled on it. I saw one on sale a week and a half ago in a newspaper ad. I really liked the looks of it, but I don't want to get one til I'm sure Luther is finished eating furniture.

I have a chenille throw on my chair that I always cover up in when I watcch tv. I like to be warm. Next to the chair is an end table with a lamp, the phone and a framed photo on it. Joe and I share this table when we are having snacks while watching tv or a movie(he sits on the other side). The table has 2 drawers, they are filled with remotes, coasters for our drinks, pens and other junk.

End table with a lamp, the telephone, a container with pens and pencils in it and always stacks of books and magazines waiting to be read!
