What happens when they are full and have no more room?

It's in Kanab, Utah. They have 20? of the Michael Vick dogs.

Oh crap I forgot to watch that last night. I did see the first episode. Yes, they're in Kenab Utah. I tried to zoom into their facility by satellite photos on the mapping websites but they don't have high resolution images for that area.

Unfortunately the national geographic channel is one of the few that has not put the episodes on their website for viewing so if anyone wants to watch it you'll just have to wait for it to come on again.

Dogtown is part of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah. They are an excellent organization that helps not only dogs, but also cats, rabbits, birds and horses. I believe they have a couple thousand animals at any one time at the sanctuary. They have the facilities and capability to do large scale rescue and brought in many pets from Katrina. They recently went into a sanctuary in NYS that had fallen on hard times when the owner got ill and have turned it around. They are a pretty incredible organization.

I watched Dog Town last night. It was a wonderful program. I felt bad for the Chow that had to be put down, but was happy for the puppies that were rescued and saved from being cooked in those tires. Was this a one time show, or is it a series? I watched Cesar before Dog Town came on. He is my hero. I wish I could get him to come here and train Will and Grace not to bark and help me realize that they are animals and not my children. I do know that, but my husband doesn't help matters any...he babies them too.

NG produced three episodes. The third show airs January 18. If there is enough interest more episodes will be produced.

I saw this for the first time last night, two episodes, I recorded them on our DVR.

I really liked it! You can tell that the people REALLY care and will do anything. How many people would sleep outside in a tented run so the new dogs didn't have to feel abandoned?

I thought it was odd about not wanting to shave the little black dog, but hey, that's her preference. I know they ended up having to do it anyway. I would think that it would be less stressful for the dog not having to be combed out. But leaving the hair on the face and ears was a good idea.

And jeez... They drive so far!

I also wonder about the unadoptable animals. If they end up having to keep so many, where will the rescues go? Where will be the resources? And that brings me to another thing, how do they get so much money?!

Even for a privately funded organization, I can't imagine.
