How should I store these dog treats?

I just received an order of doggie goodies that included a pound of Smokehouse dried beef lung, and 75 Merrick dried turkey steak patties (probably about 5 lbs worth of patties?). I've never purchased these before. I haven't opened the beef lung package yet, but I opened the box of turkey patties, and they're kinda greasy.

My brain says: "Oily treat + time = could possibly go rancid". I only have one dog, a 30 lb sheltie, so she's not going to go through either kind of treat very quickly. My kitchen smells decidedly meat-like with all these treats on the counter, so I already stuck half of the turkey patties in a Ziploc and put it in the freezer. I'm thinking about freezing all but a week's worth of beef lung & turkey patties, but freezer space is at a premium, what with all the frozen, ready-to-go homemade dog meals already in there, not to mention my ice cream. ^_^

What do you all think? Think heavy-duty Ziplocs will suffice for the treats, stored in a kitchen cupboard?
