I haven't received any e-mails today

That is strange. I should have received a few Facebook e-mails at least. Is anyone else having trouble with Hotmail today?

Hi Daisy-lee, I sent you a test email via GW yesterday eve about 7PM and asked that you email me if/when you got it. I'm now going to email you privately (not via GW) and see if you get it. It could be a problem with either GW or your email provider, or maybe even your ISP. I do however suspect GW more than the others though. Emails via GW have been unreliable at times in the past, which is why I think it is usually best that members show their email addy to members only as you have. That then leaves the option open to email a member and not having to email via GW. Sue...off to email you now from my email program/site.

Thanks for the link; I'll check it out later. How are the free e-journals progressing? Are the editorial standards as vigorous as for the top-flight print journals? Springer also offers a sort of "best of..." service, in my case I chose Crop Science, articles garnered from an array of their journals. Unfortunately, the notification is monthly and fewer than a dozen articles are posted to me with each email. I had better response from BioMedNet and other similar sites. At one point I received email notifications of a half dozen journals from Springer and could access abstracts. Too often abstracts were not available so I could only access the first line or two of the papers at best. Not very useful or enlightening.

While you're logged into the online version, you might look in "Options->Mail Options->POP & Forwarding" for this: It presents you three options in a drop-down like this: Don't download spam emailDownload spam with no special indicatorsDownload spam, but prefix the word "Spam" I'm pretty sure I've never changed mine because I've never POP'd it down into a client so I would suspect 'Download spam, but prefix the word "Spam"' was the default at the time my account was created. Maybe it wasn't when yours was created? In any event, if I were POPing it down, I'd most likely select either of the two options beginning with "Download".

I tlooks like Cynic has got it covered. But remember that the contact info is for those who do not receive their form by April 12, 2010. Some areas may be behind. Don't start calling them unless it is beyond the end date or you have reason to believe that you KNOW something went awry with yours (Did all the neighbors get one already?) Quick reference: If you don't receive your form by April 12: Call: (866) 872-6868 For help in Spanish, call: (866) 928-2010 For TDD, hearing impaired, call: (866) 783-2010 Web site: 2010census.gov More contact info: 2010.census.gov/2010census/contact/index.php

I forwarded an email from my house account to my msn/hotmail account at 09:03 this am.
I received it just five minutes ago in my hotmail account after checking numerous
times throughout the day. Msn chat was ok but
the mail has been screwing up.

Hi Paula's Pa,

I was going to comment, "Aren't you lucky!?" ...

... as I get about 40 emails a day into the "Spam" box of my original email address.

Back before I knew to set up some others (disposables) that you use for general mail, giving your basic address to only a select few.

I'm still having problems with my Live Mail. Nothing has seemed to help. Can anyone suggest a good easy address to use ,one that you can easily forward things. I live with my son and often get personal emails that involve him and like to send them on to him. Also want to be able to attach things, change size and color of script, etc.

I have never tried hot mail or gmail. I do have a yahoo address but there is a lot of stuff going into it, like free cyle, full circle and re-use it.

I also use Windows XP and do like Outlook Express. Any suggestions?

This is a sensitive subject for me. I firmly believe the "forward" button should be removed from email clients. I'm so tired of people getting stuff telling them to forward this to everyone you know and like good little stepfords follow the instruction. If it's not good enough to start a new email, it shouldn't be sent in my opinion.

And hotmail, or anything related to Microsoft is a waste of time in my opinion. There's so many better options! For run of the mill, use Yahoo, Gmail or any number of other free accounts.
