We haven't received Census Form

16 years ago

Not even the letter announcing it or the fake one that some received. Been at this address for nearly 7 years, owners, pay taxes, etc. In retrospect, didn't receive one in 2000 either. Guess we don't count. Any way to get the forms?

What country are you in? I am growing garlic for the first time this year. I bought a box of white garlic (don't know what type) from a garlic farmer in NSW. I ate some, shared some and planted some. They are doing well and still growing. I had some garlic in my kitchen and it had been particularly delicious so planted the last four cloves in the garden along with my white ones. The white ones look very normal (as far as I can tell) but the purple ones are all blooming with several stalks which I guess is witches blooming. I pulled one up and used it on the weekend and it was absolutely DELICIOUS but looked like a bunch of spring onions. If this is the intro to home grown garlic I will never buy garlic again! I will grow it. Do you think the individual garlic strands will grow into something if I just leave them to mature more? Could be the result of all of the above. Thanks everyone for your input.

Thank you. I left mine out last winter in a pot. They died down and came back, much to my surprise. honestly I kinda forgot/didn’t make time because I had a baby on thanksgiving. I wouldn’t recommen leaving them out though. Either dig up bulbs or bring your pot to a warmer location.

Hundreds of snow birds and full time RV'ers are notgetting counted because the PO refuses to forward the forms due to restrictions on the census forms that state they cannot be forwarded. It happened here. If someone else picks up the mail to forward, the census form is not given to the person that is authorized to forward. We have a PO box got the form left on the door knob because we were not home. Others got a visit. But we have NO in town delivery,as all the mail goes to the PO. There are many in rural areas that have not gotten forms or received visits as in remote mountain areas also, even after they have called. A couple of people did mail the forms in and the census workers insisited they fill out another form because they claim it had not been received. The homeowners put on the form, 2nd form, which the workers did not like.

The seller requires all closing dates to be 45 days from the date of acceptance. Sounds like someone was burned a time or two and now wants to make sure the buyer can actually afford their place. Either that, or they had potential buyers play games and they don't want to deal with the games any longer. Unfortunately, this ad just makes these people seem like difficult sells rather then frustrated sellers.

I recieved my " it's coming notice, the form, that I sent off , and another to remind me to send it in and then I recieved Fri. another form to fill out . Can I ask to have the money that it took to do this...LOL

Getting the 2010 form

What if I don't receive the form?

If you did not receive a form, call the Telephone Questionnaire Assistance center at 1-866-872-6868. (If you prefer a Spanish-speaking operator, then dial 1-866-928-2010.) The lines will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. (your local time) seven days a week from February 25, 2010 through July 30, 2010. For the hearing-impaired, TDD 1-866-783-2010 (during the times noted above).

I didn't receive a form either, and we've been here for 16 years. I called the local census office, and they told me where I could get one.

I tlooks like Cynic has got it covered. But remember that the contact info is for those who do not receive their form by April 12, 2010. Some areas may be behind. Don't start calling them unless it is beyond the end date or you have reason to believe that you KNOW something went awry with yours (Did all the neighbors get one already?)

How many of you that did not receive any mailings..ONLY get mail at a PO BOX...I mean you don't even have a letter carrier drive by your house and deliver to your neighbors???
