What do you think about this light fixture?

It's for a future powder room. It will have Kohler memoirs pedestal sink and toilet. Trim will be painted Simply white. Floor will be wide plank in a walnut stain. Walls will be BM silver fox.

And maybe with a table like this (in black or white?):

And some art work above it in a silver frame.

I like everything and think it could look very well together. I'd check the fixture out at Overstock though. It's a six lighter so it could be too big (tall, it's about the same width) depending on the room size. Check link below to see what you think.

It's not a bad light but when all is said and done you get what you pay for. That light will not sell for the $117.00 that is currently listed. There are still two days left, what is the "buy it now price"? I didn't notice that there was one... hmmm. The seller says it replaces a 400W Metal Halide. That is easy to check. Go to Hydrofarm's website or some other hydroponic outfit and find out the output in lumens of a 400W halide. Each of the T5 lamps will need to output 1/4 of the halide lumens to decide the comparison. The spectrum at 5000K is fine. H

Update on our front. We finally got the builder to finialize the spec/cost sheet to fit our budget. He was estimating some things way to high since this is a custom build and the first time he is doing this home. We were pre-approved on our loan so I took the final plans, spec sheet, cost sheet and signed contract to the bank yesterday. They will be starting the appraisal process now and it may take 2 weeks. They did throw a curveball our way though. They want us to have our well water tested prior to closing on our construction plus loan. That would be great it there was electricity to the well, but we had'nt had the new powerlines run yet. So I call my well digger and he said that he would take care of it for us, but he'll have to do a flush and put clorox down it first to make sure there is no bacteria since we had the well drilled 2-1/2 years ago. That's how long this house building process has taken us to get to this point. So hopefully the water test won't take long and we'll be able to truck right along. Prayers would be welcomed! With all that we're not even sure when we will break ground and our lease will be up the end of December and the cost to go month to month is crazy. So we may have to move in with my MIL which I don't think I can handle for very long. Our builder said 4 months from framing to move in but we'll be in the middle of a midwest winter so who knows how many weather delays we'll have. Everyones build and process is looking great and I can't wait to show our progress pictures soon I hope :)

Thanks Pal. I really like both the fixtures you posted, but you are correct, the lamp is a bit pricey. I just can't see spending that much on a table lamp. I had been searching for something organic which is why I like the ones from Pier 1 I showed above. I have a hundred dollar gift card for P1. Though I like the ceiling fixture you shared I was hoping to go shorter. The last one I posted is three inches shorter than the one we have now, which I feel hangs too low, and I feel it's a better style for a living area with only eight foot ceilings. I did just come across this one linked below that might work with the ones from Pier 1. It says it's only seven inches high, but that doesn't make sense at all. Rust in lighting fixture - what do you think?

It looks like surface rust confined to a few small areas and that most of the old metal box is fine. Maybe at one time there was a leak in the roof and moisture got to the box. As long as you are sure you don't have any current moisture problems in that location, I wouldn't worry about it. It doesn't look like it presents a hazard or needs to be replaced.

To me, the single shade chandeliers seem more appropriate in a dining room.

I like that one even better! I've been eying it with the ivory shade for our Ladies Parlor. If they had one with a dark chocolate shade I'd have it already.

imho (how's that for a start?!), I would not like to find a shaded chandelier in a powder room. Yes, I know I have two pair of sconces (with shades) in my powder room... but something about the shaded chandelier just says "No" to me. MBR, guest room, DR, even the laundry room - yes, but not a bathroom.

I do like your sink and table selection though.

IMO the shaded chandelier will date itself very quickly. Although I too am drawn to the look of the shaded chandelier I wouldn't buy one unless I could, at some point, remove the shade. But from a looks perspective alone, I like the chandelier very much, and I also like a living room look in the bathroom so I think the chandy would work well from that perspective.

Hmmm, I would need to convince DH first. Not sure if he would go for it. But if he does, I think I will get the overstock one-that way if I get tired of it, it's only $125 down the drain.

If he doesn't how about this one? It would need to go to the left of the mirror between the pedestal and the toilet.

I'd go for the O one. The wall sconce is gorgeous, but if it's the only light source it may not be enough.
