Both Lori and I keep travel journals when we are on our mother daughter trips. Anyplace nice to sit and rest is a good spot to update the journal.

Do be careful Bob, "picking up" mushrooms from non-supermarket sources can be dangerous, I'm sure you know that. A quick Google search disclosed that there are a number of poisonous varieties called "false morels". I know nothing more than that. There used to be a middle aged couple in our neighborhood who were very keen mushroom gatherers. It was a hobby that they each had many decades of experience doing. They were active in several local and regional mushroom clubs. You know the end of this anecdote, they no longer live in my neighborhood. Nor in any other neighborhood.

oldgardener.....lots of light is good & fast shutter speed. This was taken with our slr D200 Nikon. Buuuuuuuuuut.....I also shoot with a little Canon point & shoot and the flash will stop a hummers wings. :0) I'm also shopping for a new SLR. The d7000 has video capabilities....looks interesting....

Thank you sabbath. In truth, I had no idea the tiny spider was even there when I took the photo--I thought it was just a seed! lol I have more than a few photos with tiny spider photobombers, that I only discover after I begin processing the picture.
