I'm a pretty good cook. I love to try new things, and recipes are just guidelines to me. Everynite Deej comes home with his nose sniffing the air to see what new yummies I have cooking.

I'm also a bit crafty, mosaics, decorating birdhouses, and gardening, I love to garden.

Writing, singing, playing music by ear. Visual art to a degree, but it was never developed. All inherited.

Quick wit and making people laugh. Also inherited.

This African Gray is much older than our Gray. You can tell by the eyes. Our 'Mojo' is only 17 years old. We've had him for 16 of those 17 years and consider him our family historian. The difference between the Gray in the video and our Gray is our Gray actually sounds exactly like our dogs. I can tell the bird in the video is giving the human version of most animal sounds and is used to being prompted. Grays are amazingly intelligent. Currently ours has picked up baby sounds. He has the nursing, burping, grunting and crying down pat. Exact sounds, not mimicking. He can make the sound exactly. Mojo keeps is on our toes as he can throw his voice as well. Amazing birds.

What a great idea -- sharing something that can last a lifetime, give them something to share with others, a positive use for their time... I love it. That's so great that you're doing that. Maybe when I get a bit further along I'll be able to do something like that. Thanks for the inspiration!

Greeting folks, even strangers, with a smile and a jaunty, humourous expression ... that often brings a smile to light up the faces of the targets. Now that I don't have more important things to do - such as helping folks make more effective use of their income and assets, often avoiding some former tax costs, as well: that brings a smile to folks' faces, as well! ole joyful

I'm glad you said you're going to work with an architect. This is a series of zigs and zags and it seems like a lot of twists and turns where nothing relates to one another. I understand about having divisions between rooms, but there's a difference between having separation between rooms and making a maze to get into and out of each room. For example, how do you enter the exercise/home office room? And a 7' hallway to get to the master bedroom suite? What is the 7' x 6' room off the master closet without a door? Do you really want a powder room that you can practically see into from the breakfast area? Honestly I could go on and on. You need an architect.

I am so not artsy. My sisters got that talent. I love to cook and I can play the piano.

I can single handed crack eggs open in both hands.

I can throw a great kids party.

I can smell a garage sale a mile away.

    gardening and using the computer.

I'm not exceptionally "talented" in anything. I am pretty good at some things though. I was a pretty good roller skater before switching to ice which I am ok at. I'm a good cook and baker. I decorate cakes.

I am somewhat creative and can find the best deals at yard sales...but I wouldn't say either of those is a talent.

I've been thinkng really hard here, and I've realized that I just don't have a talent. Really.

I love singing, but I'm not great. I love writing, but I definitely don't have a writing talent. I have 2 left feet when it comes to dancing. I can't sew a button on a shirt. I can't paint or draw unless I'm copying. I like some sports, but I've never excelled at any. I can't take good pictures. I like cooking and baking, but I'm average at best. I kill plants. I don't play any instrument.....

YIKES! I'd better take some special interest classes or something! :)

I'm like Nicole in everything she said, except that I can grow indoor and outdoor plants really successfully.

With Google.com as my computer companion, I am pretty talented with getting answers to questions.

Not much really. I'm a fair artist when it comes to oils, but don't paint anymore.

Some folks say I'm a good decorator. I do enjoy decorating, but don't know if that makes me good at it. LOL

    I'm a good listener. Is that a talent? :)

Summer...of course it is. We all have talent in one area or another. Its not always about art, dancing, writing, cooking and such. You can be a good listener and that is a god-given talent. As well as , lifting people up(always having a good word for someone), making people smile(believe me its a talent that some people dont posess), helping others. All of us have a talent, and its our job to hone in on what ours is and use it to the best of our ability.

Oh yeah, mine is im a planner. Give me a date and a meeting and I can throw an awesome get-together. Crisis mode is my forte'. (and im not a bad cook!!)

I'm a graphic designer, so that is really not a passing talent, it's my job but ... within the graphic design realm, I am very good at product illustrations (created nearly 1,000 illustrations for ViewSonic the monitor company) and animation within PowerPoint.

I think of a "talent" as something that you don't mind being challenged in. Give me an animation challenge for an upcoming presentation and I'm in heaven.

Like Jodi--I LOVE a challenge. Just tell me I 'can't' do something & I'm on my way!
Love to create things-did wedding cakes for 30 yrs-also was a Party Planner-love to come up w/ideas for menu, decor, programs, etc.
Passionate about creating Home Decor items-for fun.
I am considered a great dancer and am asked to get up & sing by several of the piano bar pianists in my area...that's kinda fun.
Most of all, I guess I have a 'knack' for being there for someone when they need a helping hand, a favor or a few kind words of encouragement or advise. Of that-I am most proud-to be of use to another person!

    Gardening !

Another crafty sort here. I am a cross-stitcher. The more difficult the better as far as I am concerned. I have the patience for them. Which is funny cause I would never normally think of myself as a patient person.

I can smell & track down a grow-op with my eyes closed. Children flock to me....honestly, they seek me out without me doing a darn thing....I'm a kid magnate!
    My greatest talent is sarcasm.

I believe I have many talents/skills...planning, listening, communications, money management/investing.

I am a very detail-oriented person, have excellent computer skills (business teacher) and I feel I am an organizational wizard! I'd be a good project manager on Trump's Apprentice shows! LOL

I play the flute, and I'm not bad. Not as good as I used to be, the symphany isn't going to knock down my door, but I can still play well, I can still toot from the lowest C to the highest C and everything in between.

I write well, but not often enough. I miss having a reason to write. I guess I need to make my own reason. For someone with no computer/publishing training, I make a mean newsletter in Publisher. ;o) Sometimes I need to write for that, but mostly I need to edit. I have been doing that for my kids' schools for years now, it's my niche.

I used to do almost all types of arts and crafts and I was good enough at a lot of it to actually win blue ribbons at the Mis South fair. I had to give up nearly every hobby or social activity a number of years ago because mandatory overtime at work consumed many hours and days of my life. Thankfully I am free from there now and can get back in the swing of doing things I enjoyed in the past. One thing I've noticed though is that I don't seem to have the imagination I used to have. I used to have a beautifully decorated home. It wasn't a formal, sophisticated home, but it was a warm, cozy and rustic country, pretty home. I made a lot of the accessories myself and things I could only think to do and not be able to do, such as painting pictures, I asked my mother to do. Even door to door salesmen asked me who my decorator was. I did interior decorating for several friends at their request. I've got a couple of places in our home now that I just can't seem to make look right and can't figure out what I want to do about it. Also part of the problem is that I mixed Bob's stuff with mine when we married and I really don't like most of it, but I have to live with it. I'm getting off topic. Sorry.

Gardening is also a hobby I'm pretty good at.

    I can grow flowers........STacy

I'm better than average at gardening, photography, cooking, and using computers.

I like to think I'm talented in the types of work I've done for pay: graphic art, customer service, drafting, marketing, writing, and editing.

Does general intelligence count as "talent"? If so, then I'm more talented than most people.

    I consider myself a pretty good cook...also crafty..knit,sew,crochet,,,,dabble a bit in a lot of crafts.And I love,love gardening!

I can tie a cherry stem with my tongue.

I used to be quite popular with the boys - bwa ha haaa!

Tee hee! I can still do it but after the back surgery it is harder for me to do and I make all these faces and it's not nearly as attractive as it used to be ;)

Everyone says I'm a good cook, but maybe they are kidding. :)

I am pretty good at gardening, veg and flowers.

I think my best talent is just plain old being a good Mom.

I used to play clarinet, do crafts and sing but don't much anymore.

I've never taken lessons but have a talent for haircutting. I cut friends and family's hair and even my own. I can layer the back of my own hair without using a mirror by feeling the length of hair above the comb and cutting evenly over the comb. I have also always groomed our dogs. Too bad I'm not as talented in the kitchen, which would be a lot more useful!

Dang, I forgot that I could tie a cherry stem with my tongue Dances. Thanks for the reminder. I haven't done it in so long tho, I bet my tongue would be so raw I couldn't eat for a week. LOL

Gardening and crafts-knitting, quilting, embroidery, any needle art.

Barbara, I cannot do that. You should see my facial expressions when I try to figure out how each letter should look. LOL

What I know about and do on the computer I taught myself. I sang really well but not practicing and smoking so many years ruined my voice. I'm lucky to squeak out a falsetto note and forget a natural one.

I'm good with animals. I can take a little creature almost dead and nurse it back to health. I'm good with plants too, and a good cook, when it comes to basic, home style cooking.
I am also very good at finding deals on junk and things for my house and yard.

I'm good at recognizing that this is one of the best places to hang your hat on the WWW!!

    I'm a good listener.
I'm told I have an excellent sense of humor and am a good story teller.
I'm great at doing math in my head.
    I grow bonsai.

    Jann

Well, I'm with Jann, growing a great crop of dust bunnies, along with the real thing!

I knit, crochet, weave baskets, sew when I'm in the mood, but after sewing the kid's and my clothes for so many years, I don't like it much anymore. And I found the KT!

Dances, what exactly is it that is harder to do after back surgery! Smirk! The boys or the cherry stem tying? LOL
    Sorry, I couldn't resist!

    Loving my family.

I've very organized, I sew and do counted cross stitch, embroidery and needlepoint, garden, and I'm great at Jeopardy and Trivial Pursuit and using coupons at the supermarket! I'm fairly quick witted but can't tell a joke properly.

    I can write backwards, too.
I can do stuff, but I'm not really talented at anything.
I keep working on my golf game, which I'd really, really like to be talented at....but I still suck.

I'm wonderful with preschoolers (I'm a preschool teacher), even though I struggle with my own teenagers!

I am good at gardening and some cooking (if I'm in the mood) and baking.

I have a "different" talent but (thank goodness) one that I've found an outlet for. I have a strong visual memory and have memorized hundreds of pictures of old houses, which enables me to identify Sears Homes as I drive through old neighborhoods.

When ever a new craft came out I tried it.But my thing is making wreaths, decorating, gardening.

Tami! I am shocked. SHOCKED at the insinuation!

It is the boys that are harder to do, not because of the surgery but rather the fact that DH for some reason objects. Unless it is him, of course.

    Tee hee!

I'm a good speller, have a quick wit and a talent for usually finding some humor in almost anything. (All inherited)
