There is one gal on HMF who left some positive comments on it in the Comment section. I often forget to read there. I see they have it Ashdown but I will probably get it from Antique Rose Emporium. Both post lists online so you can see if they carry what you want before you go: http://www.nhg.com/guides/category/plant-lists/ and http://www.covingtonnursery.com/retail-nursery.htm. North Haven has annual rose event the first week of March/Last week of February every year, so many harder to find varieties sell out. People line up at 7:30am to get in. They do not update their list as their inventory diminishes, but Covington actually updates their entire stock list every evening. So, if it is on the Covington available stock list they likely have it. If you do go to Tyler then Breedloves for David Austins (they usually keep only a few varieties, but the healthiest of plants) and Chamblee's for own root (they have a big selection). Lastly, sometimes you can buy directly from Certified Roses and Roses USA. They are huge whole sale operations that supply to the Big Boxes. I don't think they normally sell to the public and are usually closed on weekends. We've been lucky and picked up off season discounted roses there for as little as $5 (Mister Lincoln, Fragrant Cloud, Mirandy, lavender crush and Pink Peace). These guys primarily carry grafted hybrid teas and landscape roses though, so if those aren't your cup of tea I wouldn't bother. These are literally the roses that will get shipped to Walmart, Home Depot, etc. Happy Hunting!

Jeri J, Thank you for bringing to my attention, a correction in the October 2005 “AEN” supplementary “Rose” List. Should a correction be noted on ARS or my part, the correction will be addressed in a following post. The November post will reflect a correction, removing the name Bevoniensis from the list. As stated in the header, the primary purpose of the “Supplement Rose List” is to compliment the 2005 AEN, by address Corrections / Additions / Deletions a continuing process. Devoniensis is listed in the 2005 AEN, indicating eligibility for Dowager Queen (the reason it was originally included); therefore its removal from the list is in order. Happy Holidays. Alexa, Here's the info from the email Cuisinart sent: WAREHOUSE SALE on Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., just in time for the Holidays! The Sale will be held at: 150 Milford Road East Windsor, NJ 08520 They apparently traditionally had it once a year only in December, but this year they also held the one in May. I was impressed and I'm hoping this one is just as good. The prices included tax, so the prices were rock bottom for great merchandise. It's just off the Turnpike Exit 8 at Route 33E. Maybe we should wear badges to identify each other? Red roses? Hope you get there and enjoy. I'll probably get there around 11:30. The funniest thing was after you get into the warehouse - they lead you around and around like a line in Disney World, they hand you a cardboard box with a leash. I couldn't imagine what I would be putting in there - we actually ended up with 2 boxes!! My 6 year old granddaughter was pulling them around like puppies! Helene
