All the whining and complaining has completely ruined this show for me. I used to love watching the fun challenges and travelog experiences but now it is just a constant bickering show. I doubt I will bother with it anymore.

I like the two Rachels and their guys. None of the others I care about and cannot stand the loud dumbness of the Kentucky two. I seriously need a translator when they speak. Who talks like that? They might be nice guys, but no wonder we're thought of the ugly Americans.

Well I would hate to hear what you have to say about people from Louisiana, Cajun dialect, and Texas dialect, and probably most people from the South for that matter.
Who talks like that? Pretty much every one from the same area they are from!
They are not dumb or ignorant in fact they have finished first in some of the most technical tasks like putting together the solar cooker.
I am thankful there is so much wonderful diversity, how boring if everyone were alike.

Rachel has always been a whiner and Brandon can match her at times, I am surprised they are still together. I wonder what show they will show up on next.

Whiny Rachel is an immature brat who gives women a bad name by using her emotions as a weapon. The other Rachel is sassy and not taking any crap off her arrogant serviceman husband. He sure doesn't seem like he's used to taking any orders at all, the way he balks at every suggestion she has. One Rachel I like and the other I don't. :) One needed to have a salami stuffed into her yap just to shut her up.

I can understand the KY guys just fine and they've settled down quite a bit from the first episode where their giddiness got on my nerves. I thought the Border Patrol guys were super nice to help them both times and I bet it'll pay off somehow, sometime, maybe not in the race, but they sure bought some points with me last night. I find the KY guys to be very polite most of the time but whistling at women outside the cab, I wonder how his wife is going to like that? Is he married?

The Fast Forward looked really easy with the toy helicopter. Lots of people have those and I know one friend of mine could have done that in 2 minutes, easy. I'd have LOVED to see pilot Dave try...... LOL.

I got used to whiney/emotional Rachel on Big Brother when she would often threaten to quit, so I'm immune to her tantrums.

I thought it was a wonderful gesture when the fed agents gave up their 1st place money to the Kentucky guys. I wonder if they regretted it after learning it was a non-elimination round. Both teams are stand up guys. I did have to laugh when Kentucky was excited to be going to the tropical destination of Italy lol.

I got used to whiny Rachel on BB too, and I like her and Brendon. I like her drama, and I think she really is a nice person.They always edit to show the worse. What about Vanessa? who made catty bleeped remarks about Rachel..very vulgar. >>You're right I have never been south of the Mason Dixon border only a very few times in my life, so I really can't understand the KY men. They turn a one syllable word into three. They even had subtitles so I must not be alone. I have the same problem understanding Paula Deen. If the task is mental, they'll lose it, if it's physical , they might win. I didn't hear what the child's affliction was. It WAS nice of the border macho guys to give them money. I said to my husband., it's a non elimination round because Phil didn't actually say the words.

I'm a Yankee who can understand the Kentuckians perfectly well, thank you. And I was so glad it was non-elimination, I just love them. I don't think they are too loud at all, and think they are having fun and have a great attitude.

Rachel from BB has really got to grow up. She really needs to pull it together, or something. She is almost bi-polar the way she goes from tears to laughter. Strange girl.

Vannessa is a snipe and I don't like her at all.

You know I had a big long reply to Lily all typed out then I thought well me being Texan AND Cajun she probably wouldn't understand me and her having already said on the GCB thread those things about Texas and Texans and here about Southerners and ugly Americans....

LOL I don't think the ugly Americans are the Kentucky team. The have been very respectful and thankful for any help they have asked for. I can understand them just fine! I think they are having a ball and really appreciating the trip. I couldn't believe it when he whistled at the woman walking by the taxi. That took me by surprise! LOL I, too, wanted to shove a salami down her throat. And I don't think it has been NEAR as awful as some years. I remember seasons where all but one or two teams bickered the whole trip. Remember the one guy who people thought might be abusing his wife? I can't remember their names, but it was awful. I have heard that those remote control helicopters are very hard to control. It cracked me up when Mr. Pilot thought it might actually be a REAL copter! lol Very touching to split the money with the one contestant from Kentucky. He said that his daughter is on quite a few prescriptions for respiratory problems.

I was born in CT & lived most of my life in New England. In 1997 we move to a very rural area in TN & I have to say southern people all have heart & would give you their last dollar & ask for nothing in return. I for one love the way southern people talk & they laugh at how I talk. As for the Amazing Race I hope Rachel & Brandon get kicked off real soon. She needs to grow up maybe next we will see her on Survivor or better yet maybe there will be a show about her wedding. I for one hope this does not happen.

Sorry , I didn't mean to disparage the south. I think most Southern people are probably the salt of the earth and would give you the shirt off their back. I just honestly could not understand most of what they said. But that said, when I went to New Hampshire and Maine, some of the accents there are even more difficult to understand.

I didn't like the loudness of the KY guys at first but am starting to like their enthusiasm. .I'm probably rooting for either Rachel team. I hope R&B stick around ,because I like the drama that goes everywhere she goes. But she already won a million so I'll root for someone who might need it more.

I'm a Nu Yawka, born and bred and I have to say that the enthusiasm of Kentucky is a joy to see. The sheer joy with which they face each challenge makes me smile.

As for Rachael and Brendon, I think she'd be better off without him. He brings out the worst in her. When he was booted from the house last summer, she set her mind on the goal and achieved it.

He bullies her something awful. If my husband spoke to me the way he speaks to her - well let's just say it wouldn't be pretty.

I think she got used to acting "girlie" to get her way when she was a cocktail waitress and it carries over into her relationship. It's not attractive, but it's more appealing than the nastiness of Vanessa.

This southern TN lady will also give an Amen and a Bless your heart!

I think you may be right about Rachel and Brendon. He does put her down, and then she gets all girly and pouty with him. She did do well when he left BB house. I just hope they stay, because she has a melt down every other minute. I was sorry to see the twins go last week. Would rather Vanessa and her guy.

Rachel still did well in the BB house after Brendon left because she had Jordan to pet and coddle her in Brendon's place. LOL

lily - thanks for the apology. Most people just get their hackles up, get defensive and make matters worse. Anyway, the KY guys are a bit loud for me, too. Particularly Bopper. Still, they are good guys and I'm not sure there's a team that I like any better.

I'm really disappointed in the Pilot. For some reason I expected him to be more debonair yet I find him to be an obnoxious boor. Did I hear the couple say they were trying to mend their marriage or did I dream that?
