Oh for heavens sakes................

Just get rid of them!!!! DH always thinks there might be some life left in a battery, so when he changes them (this time in his remote) he puts the old one back in the package of new ones. We use mostly AA's so I buy the package of 12 of them. Now I have 10 batteries in the package and know that two of them are used ones, but they all look the same. When we owned a motel, I used to tell him when a smoke detector was beeping in one of the rooms, so he would change the battery. Then I found out he just put the old one back in the drawer with the new ones, because it might not be dead yet. I quickly learned to drag a chair over to the beeping unit and change the battery myself, so I knew the old one was disposed of. Sorry about the vent. I've got a doozy of a cold and these things seem to bother me more when I'm not feeling good. Dottie
