I haven't been to Graceland, so thanks for sharing these pictures - I probably will never go there.

We visited Graceland 5 years ago,and it was an awesome experience.We took quite a few pictures without a flash also,and were surprised that they turned out as well as they did.
I was surprised to see how small it was compared to todays mansions of the stars.
Visiting his gravesite was a very moving experience also.I would love to go back again sometime soon.I believe it's an experience that any Elvis fan should have once in their lifetime,and would highly recomend it.

Oh we were supposed to go a few summers ago but DH's back was really bad then so we had to cancel. I so want to go...hopefully soon. Thanks for sharing these...I love Elvis!

Summer, wasn't that just the longest coffee table you've ever seen? I worked in Memphis. Whenever we had visitors from other plants across the country they wanted to go to Graceland. Several times I was on the welcoming committee that scheduled who was going to escort them to different sights and restaurants around town. Everytime someone new was on the committee or if someone missed a committee meeting we voted for them to be the one to take them on the Graceland tour. I enjoyed the tour but not time after time after time. It's been a few years since I've been so I wouldn't mind going again.

Graceland is worth the visit. It has tons of interesting history. I'd love to go back again sometime.

We've also been to his birthplace in Tupelo, Mississippi. We enjoyed that, too! Lots of stuff to see. We went through the house - it was neat!

We were there a few years ago, and to Tupelo, too. Yes, the gravesite is very interesting to see. I was rather appalled at some of the furnishings, such as the fabric walls, etc. but to each his own, I guess.

I have a few Vicki, but I'll have to locate them. Don't really know how these two got separated from the rest. Glad you all are enjoying them.

Surprisingly small living room. My parents' home had a larger living room than that. With all his money and with his entourage around so much, you'd think he would have planned a larger room.

There is a downstairs too. The jungle room is there. Lots of grounds for playing around on. Plus he had a ranch somewhere else, but I don't remember where it is. At the time Elvis bought this home, I think it was considered large. Huge compared to the little shack in Tupelo, Miss. I went there too. I can't believe he's been dead 30 years already. It was one of those times that you'll never forget where you were when you heard he died.

Wow...I've seen his birth house on tv but it looks so much smaller in this picture! Can you imagine?? My house is small but looks huge compared to that one! Very cool pictures...hope there are more to come!

Here are a few more pics. I discovered they were taken in Oct. 1985. I don't think Graceland had been opened to the public for very long. One reason I'm thinking that is because his aunt still lived upstairs and they had it roped off for her privacy. She was there during our tour along with his cousin who showed us around the grounds and Elvis' trophy room, TV room and all of his vehicles. All separate from the main house. 'I think'. Sheesh, it's been a while folks. LOL There were a number of rooms you weren't allowed in. The kitchen being one of them since the aunt still lived and ate her meals there. Since his bedroom was upstairs, you couldn't view it either.

I scanned two at once here. Another photo of The King along with his wife Priscilla. Looks like we fudged and used the flash on this one, unfortunately. This maybe when they told us no cameras with a flash. Also, this was either off the entry or in a foyer. Sorry it's so dark. I should have scanned it separately and lightened it.

Of course, this was the formal dining room. I couldn't find one of the jungle room where they jammed and recorded the Moody Blue album. Or, the pool room, which was walled in, I'm thinking, a paisley fabric. All 70's colors of course. Jungle room too, best I recall.

Here is a picture of Elvis' grave. Not a very good one. He was laid to rest by his father, Vernon and I suppose his mother, Gladys. However, the name on the headstone to the left looks like it ends in a nnie, like it would be Bonnie or something. I'm confused. Maybe someone can help us out. I know his deceased brother's name was Jessie.

Here's a pic of Elvis' driver's licence. We were in a diner in Florence, Oregon and they had this in a showcase. Don't know if it's real (?) but it sure looked like it. Anyhow, took this picture back in 2004:
