I'm a fan :D So are two of my grandkids,the third is still kinda scared of it...the tin man scares him half to death for some reason! I made a small little tribute to The Wizard of Oz in a part of a small flower bed under a tree. I have a tree face...the kids LOVE that, the two tried to make it talk back to them when I first put it up. I have 2 garden statues, one is 2 kids on a trike, I painted them to look like my redheaded grandkids, and the other is a boy on a trike right behind them, painted like 3rd grandchild, and they are on a yellow brick road I painted. I had a blue glass gazing ball for Glenda, but the squirrels dropped a huge limb on it and it broke. My DH found me an oil can, and I have an old kerosene can for the tin man's body. Oh, and my sister gave me a small pair of shoes I painted red and covered in red glitter. All the kids loved those ,and will put them on,, or try to put them on! Well, I was gonna post the photo of it, and I don't see it on photobucket right now.

Yes, All those guys are getting so arrogant, esp Dan! They've won by luck a few times, but they act like no one can touch them! Even when he fell below the yellow line, Dan had his plan all thought out about how his team would save him-HA I'm surprised he only lost a pound though? Really proud of the women! Both big numbers! I'm surprised that neither thought to team up at the "arena" challenge. I guess I'm so competitive, I'm always thinking about that. Yes those "commercials" are annoying!!

Here are a few more pics. I discovered they were taken in Oct. 1985. I don't think Graceland had been opened to the public for very long. One reason I'm thinking that is because his aunt still lived upstairs and they had it roped off for her privacy. She was there during our tour along with his cousin who showed us around the grounds and Elvis' trophy room, TV room and all of his vehicles. All separate from the main house. 'I think'. Sheesh, it's been a while folks. LOL There were a number of rooms you weren't allowed in. The kitchen being one of them since the aunt still lived and ate her meals there. Since his bedroom was upstairs, you couldn't view it either. I scanned two at once here. Another photo of The King along with his wife Priscilla. Looks like we fudged and used the flash on this one, unfortunately. This maybe when they told us no cameras with a flash. Also, this was either off the entry or in a foyer. Sorry it's so dark. I should have scanned it separately and lightened it. Of course, this was the formal dining room. I couldn't find one of the jungle room where they jammed and recorded the Moody Blue album. Or, the pool room, which was walled in, I'm thinking, a paisley fabric. All 70's colors of course. Jungle room too, best I recall. Here is a picture of Elvis' grave. Not a very good one. He was laid to rest by his father, Vernon and I suppose his mother, Gladys. However, the name on the headstone to the left looks like it ends in a nnie, like it would be Bonnie or something. I'm confused. Maybe someone can help us out. I know his deceased brother's name was Jessie.

Let me answer some questions and address the excellent points.. weissman, this will certainly be our plan if I don't like what the guy today says. Green, yes, they did address the issue when this happened, well sort of. The one gentleman they had working out in the field for them doing this sort of work was awesome, total ocd about construction. He checked all the joists and could not find that any had moved and needed to be secured any more, everything over there was done right. They already are cross braced. Our foundation is Superior Walls, so those aren't going anywhere. We do have a whole house humidifier that we run in the winter, although last year it wasn't hooked up until very late in the Fall, after the counter snapped. The hvac guys forgot to run the water to it! We do run the air, it seems to run a lot, not constantly but it seems to be on whenever I check. enduring, no not really. Well, except for the fact that somehow the use of 3 2x6's screwed together passed code to be used as a support for a steel beam. We asked about it but the foreman told us "not to worry about it". (he's dead now, and let's just say that the people in the office would have killed him anyway if he wasn't because he should have caught that). But that group of boards started to bow, and the house did drop in that area (opposite corner of the kitchen). It's been replaced with a steel post, and the house was jacked back up. When the ocd guy saw that, he nearly fainted. He went into a panic, and went out and came back almost immediately with stuff to secure it until the post was replaced. He really thought if we got a good amount of snow on the roof, it could have gone.
