I loved this post too. How I'm missing the wild cottontails in our yard. Treasure those non-predator innocent beings, and offer them an extra stepping stone and intermediate hiding places once they become mobile and can find safe havens in suitable areas. They could use a ramp, and would probably figure out how to use it!! They won't start scootlebugging about 'til roughly 12-16 days. Mom Cottontail must really trust you. AT 13-days-old, the beelers from our front yard nest in 2004 scooted to the cover of a mighty brush pile (fortified with hay bales) in the arborvitae cove. Mom silently gave them orders to run like banshees. Then after the 5or6 hunkered down in their fortress castle, they would rush out to greet mom when she stopped for the next 7-10 days to nurse and wean her kids. Bless you for keeping your cats indoors and allowing mom cottontail to have a litter. Yes, please provide photos if you can. mmm, mmm... Dianthus are tasty plants to nibble. :) The soft ground beats having to dig in harder soil for a nesting place. Cottontail rehabber/rabbit lover and fosterer, incidentally, Mom cottontails do not carry their children with their incisors.

You are so sweet! I'd take that hug!! I've been in physical therapy since the accident and on meds. They have been weaning me off the meds and I'm doing ok. Still have a good supply of them when I have a bad day though! I'm starting the process of settling the case against the woman who hit us. I just want to be rid of all of the lawyers, insurance companies and all the headaches this has caused, literally and figuratively! lol Senior Center... never thought about that, but what an excellent idea!! We do have a very busy senior center in town and they will be at the top of the list of phone calls I need to make today. Thank you bunches for the suggestion and your caring words!!

Thanks iggy's mommy. Actually, I was talking to her last night (about finding what DD asked Santa for), I asked her what game, she didn't know but said it was the 1st search result that came up. I still couldn't figure it out (had been looking all day), told her I had already bought something for her, so she said she'd just get it herself. So I'm off the hook. I think I will save the SD card for mother's Day, but I'll give her the pillows I bought last Xmas and the crystal I got a couple of months ago. I thought the pillows would look nice in her LR at Xmas, and I *know* she can use some new wineglasses since hers are cracked and chipped (must be close to 50 years old, nothing special, just glass not crystal).

Custody and access are two seperate things. BD has always had joint custody. It's called joint conservators. He has not always had access. He had supervised access. Joint conservatorship basically means we both have exclusive rights and duties to the child. I have two exclusive rights he does not have. The right to designate residence and the right to make educational decisions. We both have the right to seek medical treatment, provide shelter, food and clothing; the right to inform the other conservator of any info concerning health, welfare and education. We both have the right to religious guidance. He has a duty I do not have and that is to provide child support payments in X amount per month. As far as access it's about 60/40 now. It's called expanded standard possession. He has set weekends and days of the week, we split spring break, christmas and thanksgiving. He has superior rights to designate his access during the summer. My access is all other times not outlined as his possession time. Sole custody is extremely hard to get. Even with all of the mess we have been through, bd has always been a joint conservator he just had limited Access for a while. If I had sole custody I would not have to tell him anything about health, school etc. He would not be able to confer with the school. Even with limited access he still had a right to speak to teachers or to get medical records. With expanded standard possession during the school year, on a month with 30 days, Bd has 12 days, I have 18 days. During the summer he averages about 40 total days and I average about 46 give or take a few during a summer break of about 88 days. That almost 50:50 during the summer. Does that make sense?
