Rob333 - Ligament(s) could be torn but it is also possible that it is just a severe strain (worse than a sprain) with no tearing. Never go into a non-emergency surgery without a second opinion from the physician of your choice. If you have a GP, ask them who they would send their family members to for an opinion on this. Hi Laurie. My husband bought one about 6 months ago. He will be paying it off in installments into the next century:-) Major problem.... putting it together. My bil is awesome at putting anything together. It took him probably about 10 solid hours. It would have taken the average person probably 2x longer than that. My husband used it maybe 10 times. It's just sitting in the garage. We just bought him a 1 yr membership to Bally Total fitness for 199.00 And think about this, I know several people who have them or have had them over the years. 99% of them don't ever use them. Big waste of money. Maybe if you can get motivated to work out while you are at home -- I can't. I need to gym to get psyched. Good luck, Maureen

In 1990, I broke my ankle and it was also badly sprained. At times, it bothers me...and that's when I wear the kind of brace that Glenda wears. I only need it a couple of times a year, or when I will be doing a lot of walking on uneven ground. JaneJune, you should ask your doctor about wearing a brace. Good luck and take care.

ROFLMAO! I just seriously laughed so loud that I scared my coworkers! Sylvia - I think I know a few girls who might have done that very thing! No nekkid friends at our wedding, but there was my FIL telling everyone the "Titty Fairy visited me". LMAO! This isn't as great as the nekkid female friend, but it was pretty embarassing. Thank GOD it wasn't my wedding (this time). My X best friend had her wedding reception in the smallest banquet room of a motel. It was just the reception because they went to the JP the day before (if they were going to get the banquet room anyway, why didn't they just have the ceremony there?). Anyway, the groom is a rather sweaty person and in the middle of his solo dance to Michael Jackson's Beat It (which consisted of spanking himself a lot), takes off his shirt to reveal his undershirt with HUGE holes in it! Then lifts up said sweaty undershirt and does to do a belly-roll.....right in my FDH's face! Like 2' from where he was sitting (alone) and looking right at him. LMAO! FDH looked at me across the room like he was going to die right there! Classy!
