Painting Finally Finished

I posted some pics a few weeks ago of my formal living and dining, but all downstairs painting is finished now. Colors are actually deeper than they appear on my monitor. We also changed out almost all light fixtures, all faucets, shower enclosure in master bath, and took out the hideous wood box enclosure for lights in kitchen. We also had wallpaper removed in kitchen. I got rid of my ugly breakfast table and am searching for a new one! House was all builder beige before. Now to get artwork, etc. put back up. Whew!

Looks great, but I can tell you, you will need to resize and post the phtos UNDER each other, so no one will have to scroll left to right. Congrats on all your hard work!

You cannot post newly painted rooms without posting corresponding paint colors!! :-)

Great job!! Especially love the master bedroom and the color in your foyer/hallway. Nicely done!!

Jackie, I'm glad it turned out well. You did 600% more than most people would do. I think the likely response to a job of that scope would be to cut the roses to the ground. Some would survive, some would probably die, and others would be malingerers, a shadow of their former selves. This saga isn't over yet. The question is how long it will take them to recover to the point of resembling themselves again. We'd love to hear updates.

go figure- we actually had big probelms with the grout. We used a TEC grout recommended by the tile store, color was supposed to be charcoal gray. But it turned out very blotchy and really light gray in some areas. After some reseach I ordered "This Old Grout" online and re-colored all the grout. It worked great!

I looked twice to be certain this was the NEW kitchen because it so perfectly suits the age and style of your home that I thought it might be the original kitchen. 1. Put sealer on finished cement floor. That way if some gets on the bottom of the wall it's no big deal. 2. Paint ceiling, walls 3 Paint baseboards and trim. Easier to paint before you install. I'm wondering how the Squire Hill Buff looks in person. I've been planning to paint my hallway that color. Someone told me it's on the gold side, but I'm not sure I see that in your picture. Twilight Gold is on the same strip isn't it? I can definitely see the gold tone in it.

kcmg85: I'm wondering if it depends on the monitor? On my monitor, all of the pics are normal-sized and in a vertical roll: I don't have to scroll at all. Strange.

This is so weird! I have never seen this before! In the first line there are 4 pictures horizontal. The second row has 13 pictures horizontally! And I have a 17" monitor! Yikes! It has never happened before. I thought maybe when posting she didn't "break" them in between by putting the cursor under the previous picture instead of next to it. Oh well! Sorry!

Kmcg, I have a 19 in monitor and I'm seeing the same as you are. Never happened to me either.

I'm seeing the photos fine -- not to big and they're vertical (I use Firefox browser; maybe that's the difference?)

I used BM Twilight Gold also and love the color! I wish I could get a good photograph of it. My pics are very washed out. msrose, it is a very pretty gold.

before I could tell you that your colors area beautiful! I love then ones you've chosen, especially that red in the kitchen. I'm still trying to figure out a room I can paint red.

I can't see them very well either...too hard to scroll and see what's going on. Could we ask a HUGE favor? Delete them from your host site and then repost them under each other? Or perhaps just put the URL's and someone can do it for you? Many people could benefit from so many of the colors listed here. They turned out great but I'm afraid some won't look because of the scrolling problem!!!

There is no scrolling problem on my monitor 17" All good size one below the next.
