Use interior or exterior paint on inside of playhouse?

Should I use exterior paint or interior paint on the inside of an outside playhouse?

It has a porch area, and then two windows that open onto the porch, so the interior is somewhat protected. Should I just use exterior paint, or would this be a good place to use some of our left-over paint from inside the house?

If it's outside and unheated, use exterior paint. Exterior paint is formulated to tolerate wide ranges of temperatures and humidity levels. Interior paint is not.

I asked a similar question a few years ago and was told that in an unheated enclosed space you could use either, but exterior may be a better choice. I used left over interior paint on our playhouse interior. I live in the mid-atlantic region, and have had no problems with the paint after several hot humid summers and cold snowy winters. However, I would definitely use the exterior paint if there was even a slight chance of rainwater getting inside.

And though Casey is most likely dead-on, it never hurts to prime the so-called pre-primed doors. Since you're using it as an exterior door, you might as well use an exterior primer under your exterior paint. Some of the first apartments I looked at had interior doors for the front door. Stained wood trim/what paint color for inside of exterior door?

If you don't have stained wood doors, then you have painted doors? If so, then you can paint the inside of the front door the color of your other painted doors, or you can paint it the color of the walls. Either would be acceptable and cool.

Using exterior lap siding on interior walls for "shiplap" look

The previous owner used a rubber paint roller that gives a sponged texture look, it took away any opportunity of smooth walls. That is why I am leaning towards shiplap to cover, instead of a complete tear out, shiplap haters lol. Here is a pic of the layer of paint to be peeled off, also, a pic of the wall behind the furnace that I just replaced. Yeah, I ended up opening a can of worms and found 1/4" paneling on top of previous drywall.

IMO the exterior and the interior do not need to match is anyway. But you might find it difficult to get the mix you want for the exterior door.
