Now it's been exactly 2 month and today I'm moving my plants indoors again. On the first picture here in the plants haven't been watered for a month (the bigger pots for more than a month) so they already rested a bit before ... I guess it should be enough now. I'm anxious to see which of them will bloom for me again and how many leaves they will produce this time. First I'll leave them on the heated windowsill, once the first leaf has emerged they'll be watered slightly from below. When the flowering bud has emerged fully from the bulb they'll again get a good gulp. All right, I'm off to the friends cellar, another friend of mine helps me with his car. They all think I'm crazy but that's nothing new ;)

I watched the video and read the transcript and saw her on Oprah. I saw nothing that came close to child abuse. If those nets over the cribs are more dangerous than 12 month old babies (their age when they began crawling and the nets went into use) crawling over the sides and landing on the floor I would like to know how. I did cringe at her lifting one child by one arm...another by two arms...but both times she had other babies in the other arm. A very good reason that multiple births are so unusual. I absolutely do not think she had all her "marbles" when she set out on this crazy, crazy plan....she sort of admits that now too. In several..as in many..instances in the documentary they speed ed up the film, and I believe the part showing her pour milk into bottles then quickly unzipping the cribs and throwing the "cold" milk into the beds was also speed-ed up. Nadya does have a huge "hyper-activity" fault....everything about her shouts ADHD, so even with fewer children she would most likely be unable to be the relaxed, cuddly, cooing mama we think all babies deserve. But they are 8 that make a whole and 14 that someday will be bigger whole.... and their lives are going to be very different from what we call the norm. And their lives will be THEIR norm. Waiting their turn....sharing EVERYTHING....never being an individual, always being a piece of an ever changing blob of humanity called a group. Who knows what "bright light" will emerge from the competition. I don't defend her...but her children, thankfully, all seem beautiful an bright...and they are here. Our State (and States) have supported many children of many less deserving mothers or mothers who have not cared about the children they have. I don't have the wisdom to know how society can help this woman cope with the mess she had made of her life. And I think she, ultimately, is the one that has to figure out the way to survive. JMHO...FWIW. Nanny (Always a BTW) The child with the cleft lip....needs genital surgery which is done later in life...and she chose to wait and have them done at the same time.

Well, after the bump, I started reading slowly and enjoying meeting everyone, and seeing again so many of the old regulars , and then I realized this was a very old thread! I scanned it to find my introduction and saw that I never introduced myself, so here it goes: Hi! I'm Maria, I live on the island of Chios (Greece), in my hometown were my parents and sister still live. We returned here with DH and 2 DDs after 20 years in Athens. BIG change in way (and quality!) of life. I'm a librarian, and a singer/pianist, very active at church in music and children's ministry and translating. I craft (recycling materials - I only buy glue and hotglue sticks!), and garden, and cook, and I LOVE organizing. On the other hand I don't like cleaning very much. I could definately be an organizer for other people but here it would be VERY strange for people to hire someone to come and see, and assess, and offer solutions for their mess... I am on this forum since 2000, but the last few years I only lurk, very faithfully though, and I agree with everyone that has said that people here are very genuine and friendly and always offering good suggestions and ideas and food for thought in general. This is my favorite place on the web!
