Help with bathroom paint color

Hello,

I really need some help picking a bathroom paint color. We are almost done the remodel of our bathroom and as you can see it's mostly white with blue hints (the wall tile has blue hints in it as well as the floor tile (hard to see in photos))...we also chose a blue granite for the sink top (white sink) and a white cabinet.

I need to do something with the walls... as this is turning into very...white. It is a small space though as you can see with no natural lighting. Any help would be appreciated. I was not sure whether to do creams on the wall or what? Something to make the blues pop? Any recommendations in general would be helpful. We are painting next weekend. Thanks!

Hi crispy, I think creamy walls would look very nice. It could be the photo, but it looks like there might be a little creaminess in your wall tiles. With the blues and white, a little cream would warm it up in a subtle way.

How about a light silvery blue? That would look very elegant as do your other elements. Both BM and SW have some lovely shades along those lines. I'm more familiar with the SW shades (SW Misty, e.g.), but if you have a BM store nearby they could steer you. Take in a sample of your tile and granite. Before buying the real paint, buy a sample jar (both BM and SW) offer those and paint a piece of foam board and see what you think.

A pale aqua blue might also work and be very spa like if it blends with the other elements.

You could bring in other colors, such as creamy yellow, peach, rose, e.g. for accents.

After looking at this picture and researching, does anybody think this color is BM Quiet Moments or is a lighter color than that? The picture when I found it was labed "green and brown bathroom". I would not be opposed to painting my vanity an espresso color or something similar to the color in the pic in order to achieve this look. Thanks again for any and all help...I am in desperate need!

JudyG, there is an aqua bath mat in the 2nd picture. There are 3 such mats in the 2 rooms: 1 in front of the tub in the tub/toilet room and then 1 in front of each sink in the sink room. Does that change your recommendation? I would rather not paint the walls blue because there is a lot of blue already in the house (SW rainwashed master bedroom and SW comfort gray in the kitchen and laundry). Gray worries me because of all the beige/brown in the floor. I was thinking something similar to the tub tile and letting the aqua accessories shine?

Do you have the vanity already? Do you know the paint colour on it or can you find a match close to it with a paint deck? The easiest thing is to follow the paint colour suggestions that the paint companies offer on their websites. For example. The vanity looks a little like Benjamin Moore North Sea CC-932. The suggested coordinating colours are: BM Blue Heather - 1620 BM - Weimaraner - AF-155 BM - Meadow Mist - 936 Based on the BM coordinating colours, I think the SW Rain might be a really nice choice. But the best thing is to get some samples and try it in the space.
