Prayers needed !! My sister has breast cancer.
Comments (17)I wrote this message yesterday and I forgot to press send it!! I think is understandable with all this things going on around me and the shooting at Ft. Hood. As I write this I turned on the TV on CNN and they are talking about a shooting at an office in Orlando !! 8 people shot and the shooter is on the loose. When all this madness will stop? Thanks everyone for encouragement. I really need it. I am so stressed out about my sister situation, my surgery and when I came home tonight I heard about Ft Hood shooting, Lucy's scare and all those poor soldiers who's life was cut short. I do not want any more stress and worries for a while !!! Lucy, my sister is 6 years younger than me and she is the youngest of the 4 of us (3 sisters and one brother). I'll let you know how things are progressing. Pat...See MoreVertigo has cramped my style
Comments (15)I had terrible vertigo about every 3 days for 9 months or so. Fine one minute, flat on the floor out of the blue the next. It would last 6+ hours and was awful. Valium and dramamine helped some....prescribed by ear doctor. I had all the tests and treatments including an MRI and nothing showed up. My mom (72) kept digging for an answer. She was having crazy side affects from lipitor. Anyway we kept reading and reading. Finally read the entire phamplet on pills I was taking for Crohns. It was not listed as a side effect, but on the back side of this huge leaflet, towards the bottom, it mentioned toxicity and vertigo. I was taking 9-12 pills a day for the Crohns. The pills base is a Salicylate, which is aspirin. I stopped taking the pills and in a few days started feeling better. I have not taken any more of the pills and have not had vertigo since. Once in awhile I get a light spacey feeling, but nothing like the vertigo. It was awful. I'm sorry you have to go through this. You might check the toxicity part on your medications. You never know. I am so thanful for my mom pushing to find an answer for me. Who would have thought....aspirin!...See MoreHave not been around...need prayers/good thoughts
Comments (22)So, let me get this straight? He cheated on you with BM (yuck - at least it could have been with someone better!!) and yet he has never felt that he should be considerate of your feelings when telling you that "you should be the bigger person," etc.? He has always "taken her side" and you have always felt that he valued her feelings over yours. Before I knew about the cheating, I thought the entire situation was stinky but now that I know - how could he seriously say the things he has said when looking into your eyes and knowing that he betrayed you with her and was continuing to betray you?? I am furious on your behalf!!!...See MoreGood Thoughts Needed for My Sister Tomorrow
Comments (28)Thank you, I let Marjorie know you are all sending prayers and good thoughts. Heather, I would be a nervous Nellie too. I would rather be put out in a minute. Yes, Shirley I will be there. They moved her surgery up so she will be going in at 11:30 am tomorrow instead of 1:45 pm. Paul is picking me up at 9:00 am and I will most likely stay until visiting hours are over at 8:00 pm It will be a long day but Paul is lending me his Ipod which has some tv shows and movies on it. I am looking forward to watching some Thin Man movies while Marjorie is being operated on and while in recovery. I am not sure how long the surgery will be. I really hope Marjorie doesn't fret too much because it isn't good for her heart and that concerns me. She wanted to make sure a crash cart was standing by. I told her of course it would be. Her heart rate isn't supposed to go over 130 bpm but most often than not it is quite higher than that when she stresses or gets excited over something. Thank you all again. I will post when I get home from the hospital. Anne...See Moremargad
