36' Gas Cooktop VS 36' Gas Range
Comments (1)Ok a Big Oops this should be 36" and 36" or I will have a really big kitchen sorry for the mistake thought I had corrected it but somehow it didn't post correctly....See MoreNXR, Fisher Paykel, Bertazzoni 36 inch gas range opinions please
Comments (1)Don't know anything about the F&P. Never seen one. Don't recall any posrings on them. Might help garner comments if you can post a model number. Comparing Bertas and NXRs is a bit like comparing high-style Italian-made sedans (Bertas) to basic, manual-everything, industrial styled imported high-lift 4wd pick-ups for ranch work and off-roading capabilities (NXRs). Bertas are sleek, counterdepth, euro-ranges. Used to be that you could get them in colors. I suppose you've already tried searching for threads? (Sometimes helps if you go out to google and use a search string like "gardenweb + berta"). Have you seen this current thread? http://ths.gardenweb.com/discussions/2981897/any-users-reviews-of-bertazonni-36-gas-cooktop-or-rangetop?n=9 They have narrower cooktops (that's the counter-depth part) with some peculiarities in operation of the cooktop and oven. Don't know anything about LP conversions of Bertas. If you like the Euro-style appliances (narrow cooktops, small ovens, etc.), you might look into the Ancona ranges at Costco. More Italian euro-style equipment but about half the cost of the Bertas. Most of the NXR postings here have been about the 30" models. Friends of mine on the coast have had a 36" NXR since 2009 and are still pleased. I've had my 30" model for going on three years now. Don't know much about the LP conversion kits except that Costco.com carries them as extras for (I think) around $50. We've had some postings here from folks who had the LP conversions done for them by their vendors and a couple of those folks weren't happy with the quality of the conversion work. Otherwise, the NXR seems to be favored more by the DIY crowd. Great for those who like those capabilities and have the ability and interest in doing their own maintenance and repairs and/or fiddling when and if needed....See MoreAnyone have the Bertazzoni Master Series 36" Stainless Steel Gas Range
Comments (4)Oh good! Mine was a display model at a tiny shop in a tiny town, so I took it as a package deal. The hood included was the 36" that is more powerful (600cfm) so I think they give you half off that one, or full rebate on a less powerful fan. My HVAC guy said 600cfm is appropriate and it's been great so far. I have no idea how the less expensive fan compares. It's a somewhat temporary installation in a rather quirky old kitchen, but it's just perfect to me ;) I've even managed some decent baking. It's been a while, so I'm kind of proud. The last stove was vintage and in very poor shape, so it's all kind of new to me. I loved the lack of electronics on the old stove, which is why I really wanted to try the Berta. Check out our pizza! Sorry. Now I'm just bragging :) I doubt I would have gotten the backsplash, but as I said, it was a package deal. In retrospect, it's kind of perfect since it saved us having to think about it. Someday, the stove will be more built-in, but in the meantime it's a lovely and functional piece of kitchen sculpture. I've cooked on stoves that cost twice as much, and haven't been impressed. Enjoy yours!...See MoreWolf 36" all gas range vs 2018 redesigned Bertazzoni Master 6 Burner
Comments (2)good point nicolepetricca I cannot believe how hidden reviews are. They are buried. Don't tell me that people don't review on all these appliance selling sites. I can find nothing new on the redesign. I have decided not to spend that insane amount of money on a no-bells-or-whistles Wolf all gas. With tax delivery setup will be about 7300! Nope...See Morerobbi25
