E.Coli and Ground Beef

A couple of years back, my husband, who's a chef, had a consulting gig for a NYC gastro-pub, and he investigated building the perfect burger. After a lot of experimentation, he decided that grinding his own meet was the way to go.

We don't eat ground meat very often, and after reading this NYT story about e.coli in commercially prepared ground beef, I'm willing to forgo it forever.
