I agree with patches 123 regarding SW Duration paint. I have used it in several rooms - thinking it was top of the line durable paint. It does not scrub well and when I have touched up marked areas with paint, the touchups are VERY visible. When I asked a SW employee about the problems I was having with it, he said it resists dirt, but once the shield is penetrated, you cannot remove the stain/mark. I don't get it! I do not have any experience with the cashmere paint. I did use SW bath and kitchen paint and I have been very pleased with the results. I used it in the MBA and water marks wipe up quickly without leaving any marks behind. I won't use Duration Home again. One last thing, when I tried to tape off the arch in one room to paint the adjoining room, my blue painter's tape would not adhere enough to the Duration paint to provide a clean paint edge. I ended up painting the edges of five arches with an artist's brush to correct all the bleeding. I recently read the Consumer Reports rating of paints and they scored Kilz paint available at Walmart number one. Lowe's paint scored high as well. Duration paint scored very poorly.

Are you close to a C2 dealer also...?! The 2 you listed are good lines obviously. C2 is another premium line. Faron

I have just finished using SW Duration Blonde in all rooms in our home, except bedrooms, and main bathroooms, it is in the powder room though. We are just moving back in, so I can't really comment on how they will stand up to wear and tear and wiping down. The saleman at the store told me that Duration was a very, very high end retail product and that it should serve me well for many years to come. He said painters don't usually purchase it as it does not come in 5 gallon pails and it is more expensive than superpaint. I agree that the satin is almost like a flat finish. I am used to using BM eggshell. Duration certainly has less shine and has a different feel when you move your hand across the wall. I hope I made the right decision, we just finished 2000+ sq ft of painting; walls, ceiling, new windows, doors and casings as well as crown molding and baseboard. Yikes, now it's on to getting ready for Christmas.....PS We used SW Proclassic semi gloss for our trim work. It looks very nice but also has less of a sheen than one would expect for a semi gloss.

We've used SW Duration Matte in two houses now. I love this paint. Looks great (I use the Pro Classic in semi-gloss for trim) and wears very well. Doesn't burnish if you need to scrub at it. I even use it in kitchens and bathrooms, and there are no "water marks" on walls like you sometime see in a steamy bathroom. My favorite part, though, is that touch-ups are practically invisible. I can spackle, then dab on a little paint with a foam brush and you can't tell. It's great!
