Drip marks down all the walls--why?
Comments (7)I had a similar issue with my master bath that currently is under construction. I don't have a definitive answer for you, but I think an exhaust fan would dramatically improve the situation. The walls appeared 'moist' and the drips never evaporated, I had to physically scrub them away. The bathroom had a window instead of an exhaust fan (is this only in California?). Our guest bathroom (also under construction) had a poor exhaust fan and I would notice the same thing when guests took long showers. When the walls were scrubbed, the drips didn't return--until the guests did! You might want to test by cleaning the drips and not using the shower for a day or to see if the drips appear only after someone uses the shower....See Morehow to clean drip mark off stainless dishwasher?
Comments (192)Well Mo, sgmkj22 et al... we're observing same phenomenon, which seems to have no viable solution other than "staying on top" of the streaks. Which means every day I suppose. But it sure is bizarre that none of us can make real sense of where/how it comes from. For example the vent idea makes sense, however these evaporation vents are in different places on the appliances - yet some of us get the streaks from seemingly unrelated areas. ALSO I wonder if its mostly Bosch brand, or if its a general stainless steel door thing ? Maybe some of them have really thin/flimsy door panel which essentially translates "heat" from inside leaving ghost marks! All I KNOW is that I hate stainless steel appliances, never understood why they became so popular as to be ubiquitous -- and the ONLY reason I have this new dishwasher in SS is because my husband insisted it would "look better" than my old white one. HA ! I think I'll have HIM "stay on top" of the streaks. Thanks everyone for chiming in... We're hosed. That's it....See Moredrip mark
Comments (0)I have a composite vanity top in the mud room bathroom. I also have a faucet Brita water filter attached. I just noticed that the filter has made a little drip mark on the sink. It's not all that dark. I tried Bar Keeper's Friend but the mark is still there. The sink didn't cost that much but it irritates me that the mark is there. Do any of you know how I could get it off?...See MoreWhich paint formula for bathroom?
Comments (7)I don't know anything about the Aura, just that there's been lots of good reviews on it here in the forum. What I can offer though is if the Aura is too pricey and you need to look at other brands, stay clear of Sherwin Williams! When we redid our masterbath, it was gutted to the studs, so our drywall was new. We bought the paint recommended and did EXACTLY what the SW rep advised. Within a very short time we had both drips and streaks. Awful....See Morewodka
